Las Iguanas - Center Parcs Woburn — Restaurant in England

really disappointed with our visit to las iguanas. we had a reservation booked for 7:30pm on a thursday evening. we were left at the front for ten minutes before we were seated. we are a party of 7 who pre-booked, but we were not offered a table big enough, we had to move tables and chairs together. the tables were extremely dirty. we were not asked once about allergies.

people in our party were disappointed with the fact some foods were pre-made, they had to change their orders as they dislike/were allergic to certain food items. most of the menus had been torn or defaced. we had to get up to retrieve a drinks menu as there wasn’t one on our table.

a lot of the food seemed underwhelming or not cooked fully. although it was brought out rather quickly, there was an error with the buttermilk fried chicken (came with sauce when we asked it to be removed), and this wasn’t brought out until we asked about it again 15 minutes later.

our initial idea was to buy one of the sharing cocktails, however after seeing the size of them i was appalled at the price!!! £27-£30 for such a small glass to share was absolutely insane.

the people in our party who drank said that the cocktails had very little flavour to them, bar alcohol. the ‘apple & pear’ tasted of neither, just pure alcohol. many of them couldn’t finish it.

we ordered churros as our dessert. these were the nicest part of the meal, however i have never seen churros be so greasy, there was a puddle at the bottom of all the pots! this ended up staining my jumper with the oil :( you don’t expect grease to pour off of a churro!

when totalling the bill, it was extremely difficult to calculate as the individual prices were not on there. the majority of places will show the price of an individual item, instead of just the total price if the item was ordered multiple times.

it’s safe to say we wouldn’t return here if we came back to...

Disappointing, food was terrible.

Usually I love las iguanas, so we decided to give this branch in Woburn Center Parcs a try. Unfortunately it was terrible. We ordered 5 different dishes and 1 kids meal. My husband’s food was burnt (to the point where we had to send it back because all he could taste was burnt tortilla), my dads rice tasted like microwaved cheap rice (tasted stale), my toddlers kids meal arrived with a dirty tea spoon in the plate (very sloppy and poor quality presentation), his fish fingers were terrible quality and the sweetcorn was very cheap and watery. My food was sub-standard, burger was nothing special at all and my sweet potato fries were clumped together as if the chef couldn’t be bothered to present anything nicely. Presentation of most of the food was poor. I would never eat here again. To serve food like that and charge such high prices is crazy. Table and floor felt sticky too.

The only positive I have to say is that the manager who we gave our feedback to was lovely. He listened, he cared, he offered us a discount and some dessert on the house too. Because of his attentiveness, we left feeling happy despite the terrible food. For that reason I have given 2 stars...

I feel compelled to leave this review following our most recent visit. Having visited many times during our stays at Centre Parcs for the last five years.

Deago and Milo the robot servers. Which we have experienced on previous visits. However this time was just awful.

As a family where arriving at the same some as our food. Snotty noses at the same height as our food. With lots of excitement to see the robot.

As the robot had to navigate a metal lip between the two floors the whole robot rocked and some food fell to the floor. The eager kids picked up the chips and replaced on the plates! 🤢

Now this was not the staffs problem as I observed the robot rock at this same point each time and more plates the more severe it rocked. A steady hand from a team member helped.

We refused the food and the kitchen re cooked our order.

I right this review for the management team as I truly believe that this robot is not fit for purpose.

For the record Jessica our waitress was very helpful throughout our meal. Ryan the manager was a different matter.
