Our family popped in here for lunch during our stay. It was coming up to nearly am hour's wait from ordering food until the last meal was served. Sadly, it was the children's meals that was surprisingly served last which worsened the situtaion. After having waited 40 minutes for the food initially we enquired into how long it would be until the food would be served and were told 7 minutes. After another 10 minutes we asked the manager who said they were very busy which was quite concerning given the restaurant was about quarter full (see attached photo taken several moments after speaking to the manager. A minor criticism was that we had to ask several times for various condiments and at no point did any staff approach us to check everything was okay with our meals (coincidentally which would have eliminated the condiment issue). When we received the bill they had applied a the full service charge. I did not want to create a fuss about this at the time as there was one member of staff who was absolutely superb. Friendly, attentive and worked really hard making sure that customers were looked after - I even made a note to take his name which was 'Manny.' It did not feel right that all the staff would lose out because of what appeared to be a logistics problem. My son has been in contact with Cafe Rouge to try and come to and resolve the matter as my son made a complaint about the service was made to Center Parcs about Cafe Rouge on my behalf. Unfortunately, the manager attitude was to say that we were told when we arrived that we were told there would be a 45 - 50 minute delay on food service. There were nine of us in our party and can confirm nobody was told this information.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining at Café Rouge centre Parcs recently, and I can confidently say it was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, with the perfect blend of classic French charm and modern comfort. What truly made our visit exceptional, though, was the incredible service from Joe and Carl. Both were not only professional and attentive but also genuinely friendly, making us feel welcome and valued throughout our time there. Both Joe’s and Carl attention to detail and menu knowledge were impressive — they both made fantastic recommendations that we absolutely loved. brought a great energy to the table, ensuring everything was just right with an effortless grace and a great sense of humour. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of delicious food, a cozy ambiance, and service that goes above and beyond. Joe and Carl are true assets to Café Rouge centre Parcs for their top-tier hospitality.

Came for afternoon tea at 3pm. Very quiet which was fine. Waitress was quick to take our order. Unfortunately after being asked for dietary requirements (I'm pregnant) they had no decaf tea available and it took a while for the waitress to say they had decaf coffee. The afternoon tea was a bit rubbish. The toasties that come out instead of sandwiches are good and probably the best bit. . The cake selection was just different sponges (one almond one chocolate and one with candied fruit peel in) and really disappointing for an afternoon tea. You get one scone each. They were a bit burnt but taste OK. You get plenty of cream but hardly any jam. We were not offered any other drinks while eating and the plates were not cleared away even after we had paid.

Following our experience on 30 December I'm surprised by the reviews! We booked an early table (5pm) for 12 and turned up in dribs and drabs. We were waited on by a lovely chap (I didn't get his name unfortunately) who could not do enough for us and was perfectly happy to take our orders as and when we turned up, and to hold orders back when needed so that we could eat together (e.g. by the time we all got to the main meal!). He was attentive and charming and an absolute credit to the restaurant.

My partner and I arrived first with our kids and we were able to order straight away so the littles had some food to keep them going. While the kids weren't overly enamoured with the options available to them, the staff were more than happy to mix and match for them - so they had sausages, chips and veg for their main meal, despite not being on the menu as a full option. Eldest said they were the best sausages ever!

Drinks were also fab - recommend the passionfruit martini in particular! Shame they don't have any real ales on tap - Stella and Leffe only - but bottles/cans are available at least.

I can particularly recommend the duck main course - absolutely delicious and not too heavy as the carb serving is nice and light. My partner's mushroom risotto was beautifully dressed with edible flowers and he enjoyed it too.

All round a...

While staying at CP I booked cafe Rouge in advance to have a meal for my wife's birthday. Restaurant was very quite when we arrived and were shown to a table by a polite waiter. But where we were sat we had a different guy who certainly had a different demeanour and was very abrupt in his still of service. He was trying but was so far off the mark. However the real evening issue came when we ordered our food as there were 3 of us we order fillet steak, duck and sea food mix in a 'soup'. All good when it arrived but as my wife was eating her sea food she found a stone in her bowl, YES a stone!! It was about 2 inches in length and black, we were so lucky that she did not swallow it of try to bite down on it and damage her teeth. Absolutely disgraceful and shows how poor their quality control is!! we notified the waiter only for him to start laughing at us!! and say he had never seen something like this before. We asked him to replace the dish which he did and I asked to see the manager. Once he arrived he was apologetic but for us there was no excuse for such bad quality and the behaviour of the waiter! The manager did remove the cost of the dish off our bill and gave an additional discount, but all in all a bad experience for poor quality food and...
