A Hidden Gem in Corsham – Amore Italian Restaurant
This evening, we decided to finally experience Amore Italian Restaurant, located in the heart of Corsham, and what a delightful surprise it was! Although the restaurant is new to us, we’ve often driven past, admiring its inviting, colorful exterior—especially in the darker months when it’s beautifully lit up. The warm glow it casts on the street feels like a breath of fresh air, offering a cozy escape from the chill.
We visited on a quiet Tuesday evening and were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were nothing short of exemplary. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was vibrant yet intimate, with a tasteful blend of modern decor and traditional Italian charm. The ambient lighting and stylish touches made it the perfect setting for a relaxed yet refined dining experience.
The service was outstanding—attentive without being overbearing. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, answering all our questions with a genuine desire to ensure we had the best possible experience. The food arrived promptly, in just 10 minutes, which was impressive. While the quick service might suggest pre-prepared dishes, the flavors were anything but rushed. Each bite of our meal was bursting with authentic Italian taste, well-balanced, and expertly seasoned. It was clear that the kitchen uses high-quality ingredients, and the care put into each dish was evident.
The menu at Amore is refreshingly diverse, offering a wide range of Italian favorites with a few unique twists. Whether you're craving a classic pasta dish or something a little more adventurous, there's something for everyone. And with prices that won’t break the bank, it’s an excellent choice for both a casual dinner or a special evening out.
What truly stood out to us, beyond the exceptional food and service, was the atmosphere. It’s a place where you can enjoy a leisurely meal in good company, surrounded by a welcoming, vibrant energy. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt valued as guests, and that personal touch made all the difference. It’s rare to encounter such genuine warmth and hospitality, and the team at Amore made it clear they take great pride in their work.
I would be remiss not to mention the incredible attention to detail from the staff. From the moment we were greeted at the door to when we left, we felt like more than just customers—they made us feel like part of their family. They took the time to explain the menu with passion and made thoughtful recommendations tailored to our preferences. The pacing of the meal was perfect, and they checked in at just the right moments without interrupting our conversation or experience. It’s evident that the team is well-trained, but what truly sets them apart is their genuine enthusiasm for what they do.
If you’re looking for a place to enjoy delicious, authentic Italian food in a colorful, ambient setting, I highly recommend Amore Italian Restaurant. Whether you're a local or just passing through Corsham, this is a must-try spot for an unforgettable dining experience. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is unmatched, and the staff truly elevates the experience to another level. Thank you to the team for a fantastic evening—we’ll definitely...
Read moreI’ve got to hand it to this Italian restaurant! Absolutely delicious and well presented meals. I don’t know where to start when it comes to describing my meals. But I chose the bruschetta which came with prosciutto ham - delightful. Well presented, only thing I would mention is that it would have been nice for the ciabatta to have been a bit crispier as found it to be quite soft but might be a different sort of style.
The steak. Wowee! What can I say. Cooked to perfection (medium rare) probably a tad bit on the rare side but I found it so tasty. And the nice touch of garlic butter on top of the steak made it even better. I swapped the dolce latte sauce with peppercorn sauce and oh my goodness. The taste was incredible! You could just tell it was homemade. The chips seasoned well with rosemary maybe? They were delicious.
I had a Christmas pudding as my dessert and that came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and a light dusting of powdered sugar. The Christmas pudding also delicious and definitely tastes homemade in-house. Sorry no picture of this.
I will definitely love to...
Read moreGreat staff, bland and uninspiring food. The food arrived very quickly which is usually appreciated, there is a simplicity to Italian food that you can do very right or very wrong. In this case I think the speed at which the food arrived points towards the lack of care. We ordered the salmon with champagne sauce and the carbonara. The carbonara was advertised as a “creamy egg yolk” sauce, but it was a heavy cream sauce, almost frothy with no flavour; the “pancetta” carried no flavour throughout and even lacked the most basic flavours of salt and pepper, this was not worth the money at all. the salmon was well cooked and the prawns (as you should expect) but the “champagne” sauce held onto a bitter flavour and lacked any taste at all. For a few greasy vegetables and a tiny piece of salmon id expect a lower price tag for this dish. The lemon saved it. (Lemon and butter would have tasted better in this case.)...
