I do not condone the behaviours of the manger. My mother was ordering to my grandmothers specifics ( she has dentures, we were worried the bread could be too hard for her teeth) when my mother was ordering she’d asked for the contents of the sandwich of choice in a salad box but the bread on the side… seems fair. However the very snobby manager did not want to comply causing a scene; to the point everyone in the shop was listening in. My mother decided that it was not worth the argument but I have other views. Not only was he not attentive to his customers he decided to come over and continue to say that he cannot undertake our request. This shop has some lovely food. We are Latvian so we apprichiate the Russian mayonnaise but my friend ordered the dry cured ham sandwich and store bought store bought ham came … other than the manager all staff were lovely...
Read moreDecided to go for lunch and thought I would give Woodys a go. Pros It was a very hot day and inside was very warm, however, sitting outside was wonderful, shaded by a big umbrella. Cheese and onion quiche was very good, well balanced, deep filled with a light crust. The kale and apple salad was fresh and crunchy. Cons Staff came across as surly apart from one lad, who was polite and very friendly. Food was served in a take away type box, despite me saying I wanted to eat outside, served with wooden fork and knife. It was very difficult to cut food and eat from a box. The items are then just thrown away. Prices of food and drink are not displayed well. The choice of cold drinks was disappointing, limited to Bottle Green products, water or wine. Would I revisit?...

Visited there for the first time this morning, buying cheeses from their extensive selection and trying their vegetarian sausage roll style pastry which turned out to be both generously filled and a delight to the palate. So happy with the morning's sojourn I returned for lunch, having the smoked salmon baguette with spicy gordal olives as a side. This was again generous and delicious. The light repast was completed with a cortado coffee which was smooth and rich. Both times I had the good fortune to be served by the same person who waa polite, efficient and friendly. This place is a true credit to Corsham. My advice, if you are within 20 miles, stop reading and...
