I decided last night (Saturday 5th December 2020) to place an order with Amore Pizzeria following great reviews I had heard from friends. What happened next I was definitely not expecting! My order was late last night thanks to somebody placing a fake order. After phoning up to ask politely where my order was, I was told the driver was on his way to my house. When the driver arrived he explained to me what the problem was and as a thank you to me for being patient I was asked would I like some free pizza. Now nobody is going to say no to free pizza are they so I said yes that would be great thank you. He then was passing me box after box after box. I said to him thank you but please only give me what you can. The man then said to me "I am the owner so you can have all of it" Now thankfully I am not the only person who lives in my house so the pizzas were definitely shared around the other household members. What I was most thankful for was the generosity of the staff of Amore Pizzeria. The owner definitely did not have to do what he did last night. Even though 2020 has been a bad year for everyone, it is nice to see that people are still looking out for one another. Thank you Amore Pizzeria! I will definitely be ordering again soon. Dominoes has just lost a customer and Amore has just gained another.
Many thanks and stay safe!

P.S -- And yes (like all the other reviews say) all 6 pizzas...

However this is where the issue lies, customer service, our order was delivered, it was a little late (not a big issue) however one pizza was incorrect and 2 side orders were missing, we called the restaurant and a member of staff asked for the details and said they'd call back, they didn't, I called an hour later and asked about this again, unfortunately this is bit where it leads me to not ordering again, the staff member was rude and said I must be wrong and hung up.
Its a shame as this is a small local company and expected better.
Reply to owner, the order was a while ago and I'm quite aware of the companies I purchase from, I also had a pop up asking about making some reviews for google as I haven't for some time (I think I'm quite capable of knowing where I order from, seems like a cop out looking to find a reason the customer got it wrong). I'll say this, the pizza is better than papa johns or any kebab shop in Leighton Buzzard, so 3 stars is taking into account your pizza vs the experience I had, 2 stars is a bit harsh. I'm happy to upload my e-receipt to google if they'd like...
Read moreWhen Amore first opened they had a brilliant seated dining concept where fresh pizzas of various flavours (decided by them) would be brought to your table until you were finished, all for a set price. It had a great atmosphere and was a real asset to Leighton Buzzard.
Covid forced them into becoming 'takeaway only', which again was great to see as they adapted and supported the town during the pandemic.
Since restrictions have eased they have decided to stay as takeaway only, and have expanded the kitchens to take over the whole restaurant. It is such a shame that they have abandoned their original concept in favour of selling mass quantities of pizzas as delivery only. The town has lost a real asset and now just has another takeaway pizza place to offer.
Would I order a pizza from there? Despite their renowned delivery issues, sure. But it's sad to see that increased profit margins of operating as a takeaway have overwhelmed the brilliant original concept, and this is now just another takeaway pizza shop. All of the charm and charisma that it initially brought have long...
