Asi Barbecue Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in England

I have previously been to the restaurant which was a pleasant experience, this is why we came hear yesterday 15-12-2024 for a family meal which we do every Christmas where we go to different restaurants. I can honestly say it was horrendous, if you want to be in a night club and have to shout at one another just hear and you don’t want a conversation than ASI is the place for you. The volume went up as the night went on making it unbearable. Half the restaurant was taken over by not sure if it was the owners family and friends or just Turkish customers as it is obviously a Turkish restaurant (now night club) From us getting there to leaving lots of people was up dancing taking the full floor up making it hard for people to get to the bar. Their children was running around like it was a play ground too. We first thought it was entertainment an odd song but we was obviously wrong, we mentioned it to the waitress as we thought maybe it’s a wedding. But no she said and this was her words “ They (meaning the customers) every 4-6wks and take over the full place, I have told the children 3 times to stop running about also we have mentioned that maybe they should hire the place out as a function to them when they come or at least inform others customers that this will be happing. We was rushed with our starters to the fact that my sister-in-laws plate was whipped away the minute she took the last bit of food of the plate by a young waitress and to be told we need to hurry as the mains are ready which they wasn’t. We all got our meal at separate times to which one of us didn’t get there meal until nearly everyone else had half eaten theirs. Another meal the lamb burger was raw, also the sirloin steak was well over cooked and was asked for medium-rare it was well done. One of us had to choose 3 times for a meal as the first two chosen was unavailable. I am not a person to complain but this fully spoiled our family time together, this is a restaurant and other customers need to be shown respect and to be able to at least have a conversation. I wanted to put a video up for how loud it was and the lady sat with the dark hair kept getting knock by those dancing so she had to move to the end of the table. We are all up for entertainment as it makes the night more special however this was not entertainment put on by the restaurant it was customers taking over and making the restaurant theirs and turning it into a party or whatever it was. They had no respect for other customers in the restaurant and they was not once asked to take a brake from it or to be a bit more quite. I would really like to give this place a good review but they made it impossible. My friend surprised me by taking to a new place 'Asi' what used to be the 'Brickmakers Arms'. I hadn't passed there for a long time and was delighted to find it was a newly refurbished restaurant. When we came around 5pm it was deserted. 1st strike. My friend has an 'assistance dog', Cherry, which has legal access like a guide dog. When we went in the place it was nicely furnished with lots of smartly dressed staff. They politely informed us that we had to leave because of Cherry. A discussion ensued. 2nd Strike - I ordered drinks which they offered to take outside on the benches. No proper real ale and there was litter all over outside which was not great. 3rd Strike. During the discussion the female staff initially tried the boss and tried to find a solution, to their credit. Then when we were outside one of the male staff was very insulting to my friend. It was very unprofessional and someone who acts like that should not be front of house. The over all impression was an air of arrogance which can easily trigger into worse. I would have loved to have tried the food but my friend was too upset by then and wanted to leave, but not before reporting them. I cannot recommend this place. They did...

We came here last night for a family meal from start to finish we couldn't have a conversation as the noise level was very loud, people screaming to the music and drums, yes it's great for an hour but all night, kids running about, one table the lady had to move her chair as they were bumping into her , you couldn't get to the bar, it was like a nightclub they rushed our meals and didn't have what we wanted the lamb burger was raw and the medium rare steak was well done. overall a bad experience will not be back. My 86 Yr old dad had to take his hearing aids out. It was upsetting to say the least. The 2 girls behind the bar was pleasant. We as a family will not be back no respect for other...
