Asia Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in England

Aweful...ordered takeaway for collection...they missed 1of the main courses...but worse, promised to deliver it in 25 mins...ok...but I didn't arrive until 2 hours later despite numerous calls and promises of it being mins away.

The meal and evening was ruined as we continued to wait on their promises..we asked for a refund or something and was promised a full refund over the phone, but when the delivery man he said £8 only...the order has cost £44 and was in effect ruined by being sat on the kitchen worktop for 2 hours.. they continued to refuse a reasonable refund and so we tipped all the food in a carrier bag and took it back to them and has a full refund back... The worst thing was, as regular customers ( used them once a month all through Covid etc) they offered no apology whatsoever for their mistake and subsequent very poor service...obviously they just didn't care and will never see business from us again....

Oh and the starter sheek kebab I had was possibly the worst I've ever experienced.

Never encountered such couldn't care less...

I mostly only ever give good reviews because when I read bad reviews they are usually very nit picky and I dismiss them. However, I feel the need to leave a bad review. We ordered a takeaway from Asia tonight because Abdul’s are on their annual leave. We have dined in at the Asia before ( 3 years ago maybe) and it was terrific. So we expected a takeaway tonight to be as good as in the past. We were so disappointed and wondered if the restaurant has changed hands? the lamb madras tasted like a supermarket curry: the samosas were tasteless and looked like they had come from iceland( the shop, not the country) the onion bhajis looked a bit too uniform in shape to be made in the restaurant and the other dishes had a sauce that had a very strange texture as if there was some kind of pulp/ purée added to it. The nicest thing out of the £60 takeaway was the tarka daal. Sorry Asia tandoori but it was a very below par takeaway and a large proportion of it...

We’ve eaten here for years, even take out and home deliver. The food and service has always been second to none!

Sadly they’ve started 2019 on a bad footing. I’m not sure why, I was told when ordering a delivery that they weren’t busy, however what was delivered was woefully under parr for what their capable of.

Tonight we had missing dishes, missing sauces and I’m sorry to report that they seem to be cutting costs as the meat isn’t up to its usual quality, Chicken was tuff, mixed kebabs was full of gristle, quiet frankly we’ ve been left with the impression that their using a cheap meat supplier because honestly, it was inedible!

I would rather prices increase slightly to cover higher costs than using cheaper cuts of meat.

Finally, we ordered dishes are that warm heat but what was delivery was volcanic fury. I left it, far too hot for any palette. In fact it went straight in the bin!

We will be avoiding Asian House until the...
