Ateyate Chinese Restaurant & Take Away — Restaurant in England

My favourite Indian take away so far in life. I've lived in 3 different places around the country in the last 10 years and this is the best Indian we've come across. I'm a bit boring and tend to have the Chicken Tikka Massala every time, but it is always bursting with flavour. My wief has a variety of things and hasn't come across anything she doesn't like. Great food, initial server was friendly and offered recommendations but thereafter the service was very poor and disjointed. We had a long - almost an hour - wait for our main meals to come out. The waiting staff appeared to not know what table and what each dish they were bringing. We had to guess whether we got the right meals. Also, it seemed like there's a preference for regulars here. As some staff were very friendly with people they clearly knew (a lot of guests seemed to know eachother) and they seemed to get their food much quicker and at the same time. Also, takeaways orders I thought would've been collected downstairs but occasionally some men were sat in the corner waiting for their orders. Such a shame they are closing at the end of the year. The service and attention from the hostess was exceptional. She explained the dishes in detail and even recommended dishes based on our preferences which were really perfect. We were a bit surprised at first that they don't have a drinks licence so allow you to bring your own - which we hadn't. They even offered to "pop-out" and get a bottle of wine for us but I popped to the nearby Tesco select instead. The food? Really I think it was the best Indian food that we have had.
