Beans Coffee Stop — Restaurant in England

A very good coffee shop with excellent service and high-quality food. I especially appreciated the fresh salad that accompanied all our meals. However, I can’t give a full five stars due to two minor issues that could be improved.

Firstly, we purchased crisps with our meals, but it was not made clear beforehand that crisps were already included with what we ordered. This could have been communicated more effectively.

Secondly, the toasties my mother and I ordered were placed directly on top of our napkins, causing cheese to get all over them. While the staff were quick to provide replacements, this was an avoidable oversight, as it should have been obvious that the cheese would transfer onto the napkins.

Despite these small issues, we had a great experience, and I would still recommend this...

Visited this place yesterday 15th April 2018 and it will be a long time before I go back if ever again! We were a party of three and all ordered their breakfast. Firstly it is not freshly cooked as the bacon and sausage were both shriveled. Now for the worst started to eat my poached egg and came across a long curly hair in it!! Gave it to one of the workers who asked me if I wanted another egg cooking! I declined. None of us could continue eating our breakfasts. Whilst their went to the toilet, to do so you need to pass their kitchen, not one person was wearing a hair net which I believe you have to, disgusting. None of the servers were wearing one either. Very cute coffee shop in the middle of beautiful and historic Oundle. The menu is surprisingly robust as the shop seems to be sit up for a takeaway focus. The atmosphere is relaxed and open to the views of the town center. A few points to improve though. Some of the staff come off a bit apathetic to the customers; not all, but I have seen this a few times over a number of visits. This isn't atypical for a coffee shop, but can be a bit out of step compared to the rest of Oundle. Also, the wifi is poor. Seems like a small thing, but if you are stopping in to plan the rest of your day, it may be tough to do so if you need...
