Why 2 stars then if the food is good, the service superb and the atmosphere is small time deli cute. Well I had lunch and bought some Italian ingredients and treats costing £140. In my excitement I left the odds on the counter top. I live in Newcastle so after I emptied the car, and realised I haven't got them. I go down the day after to collect them only to be told 'no, you took them, apparently in 2 brown bags. Brown bags I don't remember, and have no evidence of being in the motor. The 2 stars provide enough respect for the food and the skills as a chef and working in hospitality. But low enough to recognise the deceitful disrespectful behaviour towards their patrons. Make sure you count your change and take your goods immediately as these people are not to be trusted. I certainly won't be returning unless it is to accept an apology. Enjoy the rest of your business for a long as you can ....

Read moreDiscovered this delightful little coffee shop hidden away in one of the narrow wynds away from the bustle of the High Street. It's only small inside, but it's very cosy and welcoming. Loved the colourful mural of Venice on one wall! There are also a few tables outside in the alleyway. More than just a café, it's also a little shop where you can buy cheeses, salami, olives, pasta, wine and other Italian delicacies. Great choice of coffees. Their mocha was to die for: very rich flavour, piping hot. I also tried one of their delicious miniature almond cakes. The owners were really friendly and made me feel at home. Would...
