Cafe HQ Newton Aycliffe — Restaurant in England

Well, spent £30 on food from here partly on a burger munch box for it to come absolutely stone cold out the fridge with cold melted cheese and salad (which I don’t know how they’re getting away with precooking burgers and making it up with salad and cold melted cheese on for it meant to be “reheated” before leaving the cafe) the food was stale. Rang up to complain the woman was fine on the phone, attentive, apologetic and reassuring, for us then to ring back up due to realising we had missing items from our munchy box (onion rings and sweet chilli sauce) the guy didn’t seem interested, although he did apologise and said a “fresh” one will be made up but they had a buffet to organise and get out so not sure how long it would take as they’re busy and to just request a refund from just eat. Wasn’t happy with this customer service. The delivery driver arrived with an attitude wouldn’t hand the “fresh” food over until the other food was handed back (this wasn’t edible and was put in our waste bin) due to this he walked away and said we can’t have the food… so had to then go into the waste bin to give him the other food back to prove a point although the cafe staff didn’t state the food needed to be returned to the cafe upon delivering new one. Even then the “fresh” food was still cold and stale. Wont be ordering from here again, and ill be certainly making sure others are aware of how badly run the cafe is with shocking customer service. Food was terrible, had the Christmas carvery was more like a child’s Sunday lunch to say the least, every thing was more or less frozen, then a member of staff literally picked a piece of stuffing from the newly microwave from the back that was brought out and brought it over and put it on my dinner, even the Brussels had been microwaved. Ordered 2 mochas which were literally like drinking black coffee. Staff all over the place not one had a clue what they were doing, talking amongst themselves about a car being broken into but it’ll all be on camera so the whole cafe could here it, staff with family member in helping behind the counter. No order with serving customers, untidy in appearance, younger staff looked like they were fed up and didn’t want to be there and lacked customer service. Bought mince and dumplings to take out, not even eatable dumpling was like wet pastry not even the dog would eat it. Even that was a child portion for the £9.95 price!! 1 star due Not enough staff. No salt peppers sugars or sauces not even napkins. One person serving at till and same person doing drinks and serving.. Had to ask many times for sugar and sauces. 20mins waiting in que to be served some customers left. Cutlery was dirty. Forgot some items in breakfast had to wait 10mins before it arrived, by then food is cold. Messy tables left. Overall i wont go again. As not organised an no staffing.
