Elachi Restaurant — Restaurant in England

We are new in this area so thought to go locally for a meal. Arrived on Saturday night a round 8pm for 5 minutes no one bothered to welcome us, we were just standing in the middle of the restaurant, anyways, I had to ask someone was in the bar for table for 2 with baby in the car seat that he actually could see. Then we been advised they are fully booked but then managed to get us a 2 chair table which we needed to put our baby on floor. We were fine with it as we didn’t book in advance fair enough but as soon as we sat on our table realised that in this moment there were two 4 chairs table empty Then we thought maybe they are booked for more than 2, but later two people came and sat on 4 chairs table. The could swap and give that to us for sake of my baby, i was even fine if they could just give us a spare chair to put my baby. They had lots of spare at the back of the restaurant that was clearly visible and completely empty. We just paid for the drinks that we didn’t even touch and walked out. They were even not bothered to ask us why leaving and to apologise. We felt very disrespectful and discriminated, because we are not white. They are racist. We do deserve to be treated and served the same the others. Will never go again and not...

On all but 2 nights each week, there is an 'all you can eat buffet' with younger children eating free and older, at a significant reduction. Surprisingly... Adults with children are attracted to this option!!! That's fine, if they are well behaved and the adults too. Neither was the case on this visit. Loud children, running about, loud adults who also frequently took far more food than they could eat, left it and went back for more, once again, too much and left even more! This is ignorance one many levels.

When a group is being overbearing with inappropriately behaved child(ren), I believe that staff should ask them to modify their behaviour in favour of other diners.

In many 'open buffet' establishments here and on the continent, a stated rule is clearly communicated... "If food is left on the plate an automatic surcharge will be applied to your party's bill'.

We ordered a meal from them on the 5-9-18 and it was chicken malayon and it was very waterery and not creamy at all contacted the restaurant to be told by the so called manager that it was supposed to be that way .i can assure every body that its not please look the dish up on the internet . We have used this place many times before and the last 3 meals have been shocking .think they have a different chef as the last 4 months its give us bad meals .1st over done nan bread and 2nd black popadoms and now this .it lacks effective responsive manager when it comes to complaints and they try to fob there way out if it .manager could do with listerning to customers as it is loosing the owners customers as we now will never spend our hard earned cash in there again .poor standards to say the least .
