Caribbean Corner — Restaurant in England

I was recommended by a friend of mine to try out the food from Caribbean corner shop, with me being a real Jamaican I thought I will go support and see what the fuss about, once I placed a order curry mutton, white rice and vegetables and for my partner curry chicken white rice and veggies, along with 3 fried chicken and rice for our children we walked away feeling confident that this food was going to be amazing, not going to lie the smell of the food shop was strong and enough to say it’s definitely Jamaican.when we drove back and open up all the food, I was shocked and was in total disbelief, the children was complaining about the chicken being spicy even though I’ve ordered normal ( no spiced) and my food was just awful, when I saw my partners curry chicken I was very upset and he kept on saying he could taste coconut milk, the looks on the chicken was not no where near like Jamaica, and the taste is nothing like it, my curry as well was barely anything on it, not enough curry, the potatoes was as big as my fist, and the rice and veg was everywhere. Terrible! Went for something to eat, they only had aki and salt fish left Said I would have that then They said would like a large for £14 and all I got was 3 quaters of rice and peas, and little aki with virtually no salt fish I literally got a block of rice and peas in a take away box for £14 I ate the aki with quarter of the rice took the other half a packed box of rice and peas back to show them

Got there today on a whim near closing time, phoned up and asked what was left, got some curried goat, salty fish and greens with some rice and beans - the food was fantastic. The goat is super tender, the fish was a little salty for my taste but then again, it was still great and is literally a salty dish, the greens were great too.

The lady even chucked in a free Mac n cheese which was going to waste, that was so good... Thanks so much for being so readily available and friendly. I'll be back again undoubtedly - huge portions, super friendly and fast service, really tasty food - highly...
