Update 17/05/2022 I went in the drive thru today, ordered my drink and they automatically repeated large for size. Completely dishonest as I was not given an option for size. Got to the window and the staff asked if I would review. I said “no” because of my past experiences and now your upselling and being dishonest, she then replied “we have to and have be told to upsell” I said it was wrong and she froze Went quite and disappeared. then all of a sudden the same manager merlin I wrote about in my first review appeared in the background giving me the most evil cat eye dirty looks. At this point she received a smile from me and I drove off with my very watery caramel cream Frappuccino

March 2022 Most shocking service every time I go, in my last visit I was firstly shocked to hear a supervisor/ manager at the window saying that they would rather lose customers who pay cash and save money on banking costs, hence why they are still card payments only. This is pure discrimination at its best, not everyone in this world holds a card. Secondly when I mentioned they would mostly likely lose customers she replied “ nah we won’t, we are the best in Swindon, the new Starbucks is always closed, using my staff and taking our stock,” I was shocked to hear a Starbucks employee defaming another branch….. what’s happened to being proud of who you work for ? Also, orders are always incorrect, slow service, they never ask what size you want and automatically upswell and give you the largest size drink, dirty tables, sticky collect point inside, condiments stand was horrendous, I don’t even think any ants would go on it. And the staff absolutely tops no fuss head down efficient and pleasant kind, ...in these tough days. I knew the same great younger staff mostly way at Barnsley retail park Starbucks. With headphones on the policy they take up and simply head down get on with it . Great working examples. I hope they can keep it up in their years and in due course with some patience develop a great CV income and have all they need enough for the present . They keep up a great atmosphere to work in here, - while all jobs have tough relational times but as a whole the team atmosphere here seems well managed and kept calm and persevering. And I am very sure here is a quietly busy happy hum of contented customers...here of Sunday 17th from my 9.30 a m time arrival. They open early I believe too. Check out if want to be sure. Maybe 7.30 or earlier of a Sunday as Barnsley great one did also when there . Please don't rise the prices no end though dear Starbucks and make your great service here as other places affordable for as many as can be. A place such as here helps many live s and minds in tough days . Some of us don't want to be priced out of it. Rise in ALL coffee shops since the pandemic has been pretty huge compared to other things one thinks. Anyway very nice to be able to afford as one can at all....
Read moreMason always gets my drinks right. I adore this Starbucks in Swindon. Even If I am on the other side of town, I make an effort to drive to this location. They have a lot of wonderful individuals working at this location. My drink can be complicated, and at other locations, the staff struggles to listen and get my order right. The staff at this location is exceptional, very friendly, always listens, and tries to make sure I'm satisfied with my order. All of them understand what I want and deliver. They are all fantastic, but Mason stands out from the crowd. He smiles and listens to what I want. Mason always appears to be in a happy mood and this comes across and cheers me up. Mason provides and delivers exceptional customer service skills, even staying and waiting until I drink a zip to ensure I receive exactly what I ordered. We need more Baristas who take pride in their work like Mason and the team at this location.
