Carnaby Diner and Bowie's Bar — Restaurant in England

Came across this quirky Diner & Bar whilst on holiday in Ventnor. We can honestly say the food is exceptional. We had the tastiest breakfast baps & then came back in the evening to enjoy beers whilst listening to the karaoke singers. This place has a great friendly & relaxing ambience. Lisa is an incredible cook & hostess. Our dog was also well taken care of with chicken, beef & steak treats on several visits. A shame that we were turned away even though plenty of tables free. We were told on arrival “no tables for 2”, with no real apology. I could see at least 4 tables spaced out in the room. It was as if they were waiting for tables to be full for larger groups. Wasn’t impressed by attitude of staff, wouldn’t go back even if there was availability. This cafe needs to learn quick, as they are missing a trick. Most other places were shut / not...

Fantastic service, very welcoming family and the whole place had a retro 60s vibe. We had Sunday dinner, roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. Wonderful! Home from home, like having dinner with family; very British, very warm and hearty, highly recommend.
