Welcoming, friendly, great food! Regular menu with a great selection of daily specials. Small, clean pub. Attempted to walk in on Thursday only to be told they were fully booked. Good for them. So I phoned on Friday and got a table for the evening. I went for the Cheesed-off chicken which proved to be delicious! Give me a bucket full of your coleslaw please!! Chips were perfect. All ingredients visibly fresh, tasty and well seasoned. For desert a lemon curd which was nicely presented with fresh fruit and a few drops of lemon and berry sirup (homemade I guess!). Zingy and delicious! Staff extremely friendly, chatty and observant without being overbearing. Never sat more than 10min without someone dropping by to ask whether I/food was ok. The perfect service! Toilets clean and well kept. Definitely recommend this lovely pub

Really great little pub, we were served by a lovely lady who was very helpful with recommendations and dealing with our fussiness! Delicious food, we all really enjoyed it all round. Had quite a few veggie options and 3 vegan options that all looked good! It had a really warm comfy environment. Nice cold and good tasting beer as well with a few good options. I would really recommend this pub.

Only stopped off to drop some van keys off, and ended up having a lovely pint. Atmosphere was fab. And a surprisingly entertaining evening 😀

Came in for beer and buses. Actually a nice setting classic pub...staff were good. The reason for the review is they were promoting "atlantic" by sharps as "4.8%" abv...when its 4.2 max... allowing them to put up the prices to sell this as a premium. It doesn't sound like much I know...but add up all those penny's, whatever the cost is, it's still false advertising....be careful what you are paying for a beer. Cause pubs like this will rinse you.

Edit. Changing this to a 4. After my brother went back for a pint they had changed the abv from 4.8 to 4.2. The land lady had explained it was a genuine mistake. Alot of pubs "round these parts " would just carry on selling it. it showed great integrity to admit they were wrong, apart from that small mistake, the place had nothing...

While on holiday, we have twice visited here to have dinner. The first night, we were told there was no food that night as the chef had cut his finger. The second night - a Saturday, we were told that food had finished at 6 pm - it was 6.30 pm. It is a small cosy pub that has a strong local crowd, and finding a table/seat can be a challenge. The staff are friendly and the drinks are priced on a par with other pubs. Ok, for a quick drink but dinner is apparently...
