Restaurant is pretty dirty, as you can see in the photo I've posted the cutlery was dirty. There was general litter around the floor such as crayons and bits of paper. I heard one woman asking for a child's menu only to be told she couldn't have one as they were paper disposable menus and they had run out. There were plenty of staff all mingling about but none seemed very interested in their jobs and overlooked simple issues. I had ordered myself an ultimate burger and had asked for no mushrooms on it, when it arrived I took a bite and was disgusted to find they had left the mushrooms on and instead removed the fried onions. I waited for a staff member to come back around but none did so I continued to eat anyway, which was then a boring a bland burger with no sauce or salad on. When I was finally done eating I was never once asked how my meal was and the woman only asked if I was done and took my plate away, dropping the wooden skewer for the burger onto the floor and then left adding to the rubbish. This venue needs a serious change of attitude and needs to work better on its cleaning. If the front of house looks that bad I dare imagine what the kitchen looks like.

We had a Sunday lunch today and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Food: The carvery was great and the choices in the kids menu were fantastic. It's perfect for a family gathering. Our kids went for two Rudolph Reindeer burgers with chips, corn and veggie sticks. The burgers were beautifully presented. However I marked down 2 stars because the burgers were overcooked and slightly burnt so our kids didnt eat the burgers. The puddings were generous in size. Service: the waitresses were friendly and helpful. But we took a star off because our pudding orders were forgotten and my husband had to ask the staff twice. Other tables were served before us (inspite of arriving and ordering after us) so by the time it got to our kids' santa hat desert (which was ice cream + strawberries) they ran out of strawberries so the kids were given a brownie with cream instead without asking us first. The waitor did help by swapping the cream with ice cream so the kids were happy in the end but this meant we had to wait a while for them to be remade.

Went with work team around 7PM on a Friday for a quick sit down meal after an event nearby. No reservation so we were sat next to kiddie play area (luckily it has walls and window to keep sound away). With no table service nor ordering by QR code, had to order at bar, wasn't offered a tray for 6 drinks and food took a long time to come out. The large chips options for the 2 burger meals ordered didn't look any bigger than standard chips, and the lamb koftas seemed pretty disappointing. Beef lasagna and haddock and chips seemed decent enough value though. The steak pie had a complimentary review. Parking is plentiful and we didn't use the toilets. Location is very easy to find next to the Morrison's.

I would not even give one star if 0 was an option! Customer service was absolutely shocking, if you tried asking a member of staff something they’d just try to get away from you as soon as possible and we’re just downright rude to be honest. And no it was not even busy so I do not know what the rush was! Funnily enough none were wearing name badges, maybe to avoid getting complaints about them! I tried to reserve a table for the children’s section, as we were going for my sons birthday, I was told we couldn’t do that it was first come first serve. Ok fine, looked online and it says it opens at 12, I get there for 12 exactly to try and get a table in the children’s section. Turns out it’s already open and has been all day. Guy takes us to the children’s section and we are in luck, there’s a table free! That was until an older lady sees us, runs over with a balloon puts in on the table and says there are actually people sitting there. Ok that’s a shame, we go to the main area, but still I see no one there, I see older lady chatting with staff, going behind the counter.. turns out she works there! 10 mins later she walks out to meet some other people, as she walks by she smirks and says ā€œI managed to save you a tableā€. So I guess ā€œfirst come first serveā€ just depends on if you know someone who works there! Apparently she was off duty, but was still allowed to hang around to save a place for her friends/ family who were not there! So naturally I’m a bit annoyed by this point. But another table becomes available and we are able to move to the children’s section and they go on the soft play. That you have to pay extra for, that would be fine if it was actually supervised, but no! Much older kids allowed to run riot throwing things around. So I’m annoyed, but decide to get over it and decide to stay and not leave. Thinking at least the food might be ok. Nope! The food did come quite quickly which I was surprised about, great though, it should be nice and hot! NO! It was warm at best, plus the cutlery was dirty! I didn’t end up eating much, plus my medium/ rare stake was well done, of course! Also not once did a staff member come and ask how everything was! By this point I’m just ready to leave after having just a terrible time there. But we had puddings ordered for the children so we decide to wait for them and leave immediately after. So we waited, and waited, and waited.. no puddings and not a member of staff around to ask! Eventually manage to track one down and the puddings arrived shorty after. We left ASAP after the children finished. I chose this place as I’d been about a year ago and had a pleasant enough experience at that time. I don’t know what changed but it is just awful now and the staff don’t seem to care. It’s a shame, I won’t be returning or...

Unfortunately mine and my partners experience here was very disappointing and we would definitely not be returning.

We took in consideration that things would be abit different after the pandemic, knowing that things won't be as spot on due to the circumstances and we understand it will take some time to adjust again, but it still didn't give some of the staff the excuse to be so careless. Apart from the two waitresses who kindly served us that evening who were very kind, friendly and understanding I found the rest of the staff to be very miserable and unhelpful, I couldn't help but feel like me and my partner were a inconvenience, they clearly created a vibe to let us know they didn't want to be there.

There was absolutely no promotion of a carvery, so me and my partner presumed it wasn't on but apparently it was.....

But lastly not only did the staff let us down that evening but the food was not up to standard either. I asked for a starter which was the nachos which turned out to be shocking! £5.99 for a plate of stale yet soggy in the middle pita bread covered with cold melted nacho cheese with a sprinkle of "already grated" shop bought packet cheese!

My partners chicken was dry, the causlaw was bland and my chicken curry was fine just without the burnt but yet dry powerdy naan bread. So after waiting 20 min for my cold and disgusting starter and then another 45 min for our main, I can quite easily say will not be returning. The only good thing that I can say is that the waitress was very kind and understanding about my starter and it was taken...

Appalling, waste of my money. Went for breakfast as staying in after staying next door at Premier Inn. The weekend away was a birthday treat for three of my nieces aged 16 (paid for as an adult), 12 and 11yrs old, the excitement of hotel stay and breakfast after going out together for the day saturday. Sadly our breakfast did not deliver and really ruined the experience, I was gutted seeing them look so deflated after previously being so excited about treat. The cooked buffet selection was looking unappetising, the hash browns looked overcooked some were really burnt and when you ate one it was rock hard on the outside and the inside had shrivelled up. The mushrooms were swimming in water, the sausages while cooked inside had no colour to the outside so looked insipid and not cooked. The scrambled eggs were also swimming in watery juice. The plates were stone cold so by the time you sat down any food that had been at an edible temperature was only luke warm. HUBBY said his beans steamed when out of the dish but were cold on sitting

I am really annoyed, I have eaten in loads of premier inn affiliated breakfast places before so I was expecting a decent tasty breakfast and paid for this filth instead.

It was only for the fact I didnt want to upset my nieces and embarass them that I didnt kick off and demand a refund plus the fact I had paid for the breakfast as part of my premier inn booking. I will be contacting both Brewers Fayre and Premier Inn about...
