Never been in previously, but called in for a late lunch during a motorbike ride. Staff were clearly busy, but got me seated and took my order quickly. The coffee was ok, certainly not unpleasant, but not the strong coffee I like. The food, however, was amazing! I ordered the sausage and blue cheese baguette with chutney, and it was a triumph. Three sausages and lots of a very good creamy blue cheese...delicious. And the chutney was also delicious too. So, probably wouldn't go back for the coffee alone, but the food menu is certainly worth a visit. Well done to all at Chambers.

We are visiting our friends in England, and they recommended Chambers for coffee and a scone. It was very good. The breakfast was a lot of food! The beans are tomato based, not too sweet, and very good on toast. The sausage and the bacon were delicious! We got a fruit scone which was raisin. It was very good too (and very large). Next time I want to try the cheese scone. 😋 Coffee was really good too! A nice stop before hiking around the dales!

Fabulous coffee and delicious coffee cake! We got to Leyburn a little late and had just 15 mins before the cafe shop closed, but even though we walked in late, we were warmly greeted. We had coffee and shared the last piece of coffee cake on the counter. The cake was beautifully presented and tasted just as good. I loved this coffee shop and would highly recommend if you are visiting Leyburn.

Well we were recommended here by someone who said the food and scones were good BUT sadly we never got our party of 4 to sit down, we were told we could sit as 2 sets of 2 even though there was a table for 4 not used with menus on

As a Yorkshire man proud of our hospitality here I would say the chambers coffee house did not live up to their proud Yorkshire welcome we usually show here in our county

When asked why it was just an unfriendly that’s the way it is and we are only small so said Ruth the rather unfriendly owner

Shame on you Ruth

However the coffee shop at the other side of the square was awesome friendly and even tables of four made to feel welcome

I suppose even Nora Batty in Yorkshire was part of our heritage but a strange role model for customer...

Food was excellent, I had sausage and stilton baguette and my wife had a bacon and brie one. Most enjoyable. Only issue is took 30 mins to get the food. I did complain and the girl apologised for the wait. After I had paid and left the staff where discussing me and how I shouldn't be complaining to a 13 year old girl and they can do without customers like me. How did I know she was 13 and if she is should she be working in a cafe. So, staff beware if you are going to slag a customer off make sure his wife is not in the toilet and can hear every word. Needless to say I won't be giving them any more of my money which is a shame because I did...

12.30 pm 16th August. Can’t say for certain about the fare on offer as I never got that far. The day was warm, the inside was busy so I asked if I could put up one of the folding tables already outside for us to sit at. (There we’re at least 2 small folding tables and a stack of chairs already outside). There were also another 3 tables already in use with plenty of room for at least three more. My request was denied despite my stating that I would put the table up and get the chairs. Not sure why this was so but I spent my £50 in the Bolton Arms instead so they lost out. Perhaps not the best...
