I recently had the pleasure of dining at China Royal Restaurant with a group of friends, and I must say, it was an absolutely outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a memorable evening.
The menu at China Royal Restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious options, and our group had the opportunity to try a multitude of dishes. Each dish exceeded our expectations and left us craving for more. However, the standout for me was undeniably the salt and pepper ribs. The succulent meat was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection, creating a flavor explosion in every bite. I cannot recommend this dish enough - it was truly exceptional.
Beyond the delectable food, the service provided by Kato, the owner, was nothing short of exemplary. He personally ensured that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Kato's attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and genuine passion for his restaurant were evident throughout the evening. It was clear that he takes great pride in providing exceptional service, and it truly made our dining experience all the more enjoyable.

I'd say a small family run restaurant it busy takeaway attached. 7pm walk in but told to book particulally att weekend this is not large venue and probably not the poshest. Hot sour soup starter 10 out of 10. Wife's prawn cocktail 10 out of 10 special curry 10out of 10 sweet sour chicken well 12 ot of. 10. !!!! Special chow mien. Rice's perfect. The only thing I could pick at if I tried would be chips that are not traditional Chinese style but still salt pepper. Over all brilliant if you live in Scunthorpe or nearby don't hesitate even a takeaway. Will return with friends soon. Summary not the cheapest but if your after that good quality food get here I was reading recently family run Chinese getting rare as that generation passes many of the next generation don't won't the long hours and that type of work. So the small small quality ones are giving way to pizza kebabs...

We spent the day decorating the barn with lanterns, chopsticks, fortune cookies and lots of red! The venue looked amazing. Simon was so accommodating helping us choose food and advising us how many portions of food to have. We had several chats on the phone, nothing was too much trouble for him. We decided on a very exciting menu for the 16 of us including prawn toast with seaweed, spare ribs, won ton, halibut, duck, beef in black bean, salt and spicy king prawns, chicken chow mein, sweet and sour pork, rice and chips.Every dish was cooked to perfection. Simon even sent my mum a bottle of bubbly to celebrate her birthday. Thanks to Simon and his crew my mum said that it was one of the best days...
