I was looking forward to a satisfying meal but unfortunately, the experience was underwhelming. I ordered the chicken jalfrezi, which is typically a vibrant, well-balanced dish. The sauce was very tasty - However, there were holes through the chicken and it appeared to have been pre-cooked on a skewer , like tandoori kebab — and then added to the sauce which made the chicken tough and also made me feel concerned that it may have been left-overs.
My dining companion ordered the madras, which turned out to be overwhelmingly hot — not just spicy, but excessively so to the point of being unpleasant and nearly inedible. A good madras should be bold and flavorful, but this one sacrificed balance for sheer heat.
To add to the disappointment, the service, whilst courteous and polite, felt functional and unenthusiastic.
On a more positive note, the decor of the restaurant was unusual and quite pleasant. It’s a shame the food and service didn’t live up to the surroundings.
Overall, a disappointing experience that didn’t meet...

Plain walls, rectanglar room...could be MORE luxurious and decadent...with cosier booths...lighting could definately be cosier...table very plain...could be cheered up....cutlery quite scratched and worn. Plates seemed to lack quality, starter looked a little thrown on but not in a very terrible way...lots of staff though and very nice food. Garlic rice not overbearing. I have had much larger portions every time with takaway Indian food. Had to have dessert in addition to starter, main and rice, two naan breads. I don't usually eat a lot either. Food quality was good. Presentation plates (food brought to table) were worn and looked a little cheap. Bottom line..food was good...cost £75 though for 2 starters, mains with rice, two naan bread and 2 desserts. Two beers and a soft drink. Lacked warm and cosiness. Room felt a...
