Walked into the pub at 10am. Was gratefully served a pint by the barmaid and sat on a stool. I was then abruptly told the bar was closed. Another group of patrons was in the bar and then was told they wouldn’t be served anymore drinks and I was included in the events that had occurred for these patrons not to be served.
This is discrimination and when I questioned why I needed to leave I was told because of association with the patrons at the bar. This is down right discrimination and stereotyping without any just cause.
Being a Marstons pub they should have better staff training and not just assume that every patron in the pub is associated with one another. The guy in the Hawaiian black shirt then told the barmaid to not serve anymore as the pub was closed yet the website says 12am.
I questioned why as a patron minding my own business why I was included within the individuals they didn’t want within the establishment. There response was that i was then being racist.
Absolute shambles of an establishment and need to remember that the fallen gave their lives, hopes, dreams and future for us all and these sort of individuals exploit it....
Read moreI used to visit this pub every Saturday up until 2019 and it was always a really amazing night with karaoke and lots of good music and dancing. However tonight we visited Frodsham and ended here. There was a fight with a few drunken blokes but after a lot of glass smashed no one Made an attempt to brush the glass away so concequently We we’re standing on glass for the rest of the night which wasn’t great when trying to have a dance. The Kareoke was finished by midnight which was a real shame as the dj is really good. We went to the loo and there was only one toilet working. The toilet roll was all over the door and I’d go so far as to say these are the worse pub toilet I’ve been in ever I think this pub has been taken over by soneobw new as it’s really not the same pub I remember and probably won’t be going back again. The manager or head bar man looked out of his depth all night. Which was a shame as I remember the previous owners had order and respect and ran an amazing pub. Shame to see the death of my...
Read moreI did visit about 3 weeks ago and sat in your beer garden for the first Liverpool game.
Although you were counting people through the front door and instructing them to use hand gel just inside the door there were no covid measures outside.
Each table had at least 6-8 people on each with many many more stood around over shoulders.
Your staff leaned over to collect glasses and didn't have any PPE.
I've been many times before and have enjoyed in the past but during Covid I'll be staying away.
Hopefully you're doing more measures now that Track and Trace details are mandatory. Good luck...
