We chose this one out of all the places you can go in wimborne and wasn't too disappointed, it was busy but we managed to get a table upstairs. We rang the bell to order and waited for a short while, the menu was well put together and the prices was reasonable. The place was tidy, but upstarts was a little squashed. The food was well presented and the staff was very pleasant. Shame we didn't order the giant tea cake as it went past when we paid and it was huge...

Booked an afternoon tea for 4 at short notice for today and it did not disappoint. Very welcoming atmosphere, cosy seating and dog friendly. Most importantly though, the selection of sandwiches and cakes were outstanding. The viennese whirls were particularly good and we loved being able to choose any drinks we liked since not all of us are tea drinkers. Very generous portions so great value and we went home with full bellies AND a couple of large doggy bags!

Sub par eggs Benedict was a real shame, both eggs were over done and the hollandaise sauce tasted very sweet for some reason, seemed to lack the acidicy. The presentation was fantastic however and the staff were lovely and professional so I've given credit where it's due but I wouldn't choose to come back again given the chance. Added photos of the overdone eggs, definitely need to feedback to the chef so this doesn't happen to other customers.

Regrettably, I find myself writing a disappointing review about a beloved café in Wimborne.

We arrived at 9:05 AM in order to secure a table and checked with the waiter if we may take a table reserved for 12:30 PM. He was incredibly polite and attentive, assuring us that it was not an issue and that we "had loads of time." We ordered breakfast, and every staff member was equally delightful.

However, around 9:45 AM, just as we were about to order another coffee, one of the waitresses reached across our table to place a reserved sign for 10 AM. My friend and I exchanged shocked glances, as she simply stated, "I'm just going to pop this here", making it clear that we were being asked to leave. There was no discussion, and we suddenly felt extremely unwelcome. There was no apology or suggestion to possibly relocate to another table—nothing at all. Within five minutes, someone came to clear our plates, and another five minutes later, someone else came to take our cups (which could have been collected earlier). This felt like a deliberate act to remind us that we were being ushered out. We said to each other, "that's our cue."

It was quite disheartening to be treated in such a manner during what is typically a lovely experience, and because of this, I will not be returning. To say I was shocked would be an understatement. Perhaps we overlooked a sign indicating a time limit upon entering! However, it seemed more plausible that a regular customer had requested our table, and they therefore...

Poor quality food at premium prices. Should have gone to piazzo lounge in the square for equalivent cost. Eggs fried and poached came out way too hard so had to return them. Took ages for breakfast to be returned, felt we were not prioritised. The new breakfast the fried egg was good but eggs benedict poached were still too hard although slightly softer. My wife commented on par with wetherspoons and couldnt be bothered return again to ear separately. We looked across watching another customer eating the same with hard poached eggs. The poached eggs are done in a brevel poaching machine or similar and come out round like the macdonalds egg shape. Why can't they be done in a pan with water? They always used to. Upon paying the waitress who did not ask if everything was OK so I'm giving the feedback now. If they had of asked I would have said in the café. There is so much good competition in wimborne this was simply not good enough. Avoid try...
