The lady that works there is very rude and dismissive i hear shes the owner from the other reviews i wont be going here again i prefer the King's head much more classier !
I would like to add the staff at the kings head couldnt do enough for me very nice payed a little more but well worth it.
In reply to shelly no i dont have the wrong place you was rude and dismissive, and if we look at other reviews we can see im telling the truth not the first time, and i was marking you as the lowest because thats how i felt i was treated .
Jane had the same problem you seem to have a stink attuided just because you own the place.
Jane Morley 1 review 5 months ago £20–30 We live in Wimborne and whilst not regulars at any particular pubs or restaurants, we have eaten at The Rising Sun on a number of occasions. We went to eat there earlier this month as we had a family member staying. We chose starters and main courses and placed the order at the bar. We were surprised when our main courses arrived with the starters. We politely advised the staff member that we weren’t ready for our main courses. They were taken away. A manager then came over and asked if we had told the person taking our order that we didn’t want our starters and main courses to be served together. We said we hadn’t and hadn’t thought we needed to make this clear! She went on to say that they had a large party in and needed to serve them, so we needed to have our starters and main courses served at the same time to take the pressure off the kitchen! She eventually agreed to keep our main courses warm. Given my main was ham, egg and chips, this was never going to go well! Warm ham, overcooked egg and well overdone chips. The other meals were equally spoiled. We had already paid when we ordered so left without making a fuss. All very disappointing. We won’t be going back unless there is a change of management,...

Read moreVisited this evening, getting this review up as we were very impressed by the level of service provided. We travelled across wimborne in the rain looking for a place to get some food with our 10 month old, the only place with any room was The Rising Sun. We were welcomed and seen to quickly, after we got our food, my partner realised she hadn't checked if the fried cauliflower starter was vegan, the staff quickly checked and confirmed it wasn't; our 10 month old is allergic to dairy, meaning my partner needs to watch what she eats. The manager apologised, despite it not being their fault and helped picked out alternatives from the menu. They offered to not charge us for the starter, however we still paid as it was our fault not theirs; I made sure the cauliflower go to waste. Overall, good atmosphere, nice and warm inside, polite and very considerate staff....
