Visited The Cricketers Arms for my birthday—it was my first time out in Wimborne, and I was warmly welcomed by both the staff and customers. Initially, we stopped in for just one drink before exploring other spots, but we couldn’t find the same great vibe we experienced here. So, we headed back and ended up having a fantastic night!
The staff were amazing, the place was clean, and the atmosphere was incredibly welcoming—it was truly a joy to visit.
While I can’t comment on the food (as we didn’t eat during our visit), the pub offers a spacious darts area and a lovely outdoor garden that I imagine will be perfect during the summer months.
AND!!!! A real log fire you can cozy up to in the winter months, with freedom to add logs yourself as the fire melts away. 😍

Read moreSo. New ownership. New chef, new menu due imminently. Still a drinkers pub and always will be but you can see a lot of effort is being put in. It is open contrary to the great big sign still up which is doing no favours to trade but, can't knock the hard work being put in to get trade back in which is hard at the moment. Staff friendly and obliging and it's actually warm now due to the heating being on. After a few early teething problems things have fallen into place. Give it a try, the food will be up and running? Read moreI have been traveling to this lovely pub for a few years now. I go approximately once a month to watch the live bands. Very friendly bar staff, clean, tidy and glasses regularly collected etc. Two seating areas, one out of the way if you fancy a quieter night. They show sports in here too if you want to watch a game in a great atmosphere and environment. Plenty of choice of beers etc. The bands have never disappointed and I look forward to my next visit!
