I visited Piccolo Mondo on Thursday 14 November 2019 in the evening, a weekday during term time. I was with three other people. This was my first visit.

The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with a good number of tables with full table service. We had called ahead and booked a table - it was quite busy.

The team were incredibly friendly and welcoming, we got everything we expected in good time and enjoyed the experience.

I had the pâté for my starter and a Carne pizza for my main course. I wasn't keen on the starter but that's just personal taste, there wasn't anything wrong with it - I would have preferred normal bread toasted with the pâté but the restaurant uses an alternative which I wasn't keen on but I'd say that's personal taste. The pizza, however, was beautiful - very tasty and the dough was light and fluffy, probably sounds odd but just beautiful! There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily.

The food was good value for money, I paid just under £30 for two courses and three drinks including a hot chocolate, a pint of diet coke and a half a diet coke.

One other slight criticism, the glass that the half a diet coke came in had lipstick on, which I cleaned off, I didn't make a fuss, no need, I'm sure it had been through a dishwasher so I'm sure it doesn't matter but something to think about - I regularly have drinks served in glasses and, whilst I appreciate it can happen, I've not seen lipstick on a glass in a very long time so maybe a dishwasher or detergent issue or I was probably unlucky but no big issue!

Overall I enjoyed my visit and would come and visit again, especially for the pizza and the very...

We had booked a table at 8.15 on a Monday evening for a birthday celebration and arrived shortly after. Initially the service was good and the food arrived quickly, but by 9.30, before all of our party had finished their main course, we were told that they were about to turn off the coffee machine so we would have to hurry if we wanted to order anything else. Clearly the staff couldn't wait to get rid of us and we felt under pressure to leave. It was a shame because the food was good but it ruined what would otherwise have been a nice evening for us. We have eaten at Piccolo Mondo many times before and always enjoyed it, but not this time - perhaps the Monday night staff need more training. I don't know the Italian for 'Customer Service' and I'm not sure that they do either. We won't be returning in the future and in all honestly I couldn't...

Piccola Mondo - A lovely little place that is somewhat hidden from the main square and I only learned of it due to family members.

The staff on my visit were very well mannered and attentive but sadly I was the last in our group to eat due to my order not being cooked. It was almost 20 mins after everyone else and others has already finished their main by the time mine arrived.

I appreciate that mistake happen and sometimes things go wrong and the service and food more than made up for the slight oversight.

I opted for swordfish and it was very nice as were the veg and potatoes. My starter of Pâté was nice however there was too much on the plate. I ate it all but either we need to have more toast or less Pâté.

I'd like to come back and try lunch when I'm next in Wimborne and I'll certainly be back...

Truly a wonderful experience - tucked away in a small corner of Wimborne's streets, Piccolo Mondo has great food at a great price. The staff are very attentive and really made our dining experience that much better. Would definitely visit again when in Wimborne for a quick bite to eat!

We went at lunchtime. We hadn't booked a table but they were well accommodating. We also had a pushchair which they helped to bring up the stairs as there is no lift. We had the lunch time special which is excellent value and very delicious. We would 100% go back!
