I’m going to be honest, I don’t like coffee. Or at least that’s what I say to people, considering what 99% of people consider to be coffee. From your instant Kencos, to your filter coffees, Nespresso pods or even your high-street Starbucks, Caffe Nero’s and Coffee Ones, it all tastes like different varieties of burnt marmite to me. But then there is that 1% of what us coffee snobs would consider “proper coffee”. You can make it yourself at home with some effort, a cafetière or an aeropress, the right beans, a coffee grinder, a kettle that heats up the water to 80°c specifically. A milk frother if you want a latte - it’s a whole process that I do not bother with as there’s too much clean-up to deal with. Once in a blue-moon you will find a location that serves this “proper coffee”. Coffee Saloon is one of these places. The fiancée and I used to go to the one in Westbourne fairly regularly and were devastated when it closed down recently. The staff there were super chill and friendly and the lattes are a solid 10/10. This morning I found myself making the trip all the way to Poole just so I can have a Coffee Saloon latte. Thankfully the coffee’s here are just as good as the ones in the Westbourne branch. If this place were to ever close down I will commit ritual seppuku. It’s so hard to find these spots that actually know what they’re doing when it comes to coffee.

Been here before and gave good review, the coffee beans WERE one of the best in BCP area but visited yesterday and very very disappointed the new owners changed the coffee beans to Bad Hand coffee and there is no sign outside to tell you that otherwise we wouldn't go in as that was the main reason we were going to this coffee shop-the quality of the coffee beans. And very sad to say but we are not going back as we don't like bland coffee. And surely the owners paying much less for Bad Hand beans but the prices of coffees are the same in the shop. Lack of marketing strategy and any idea of CRR which will drop significantly in the next few months when old customers find out they can not get the same product as they used to. Good luck

We came across this lovely independent place randomly after deciding to come inland a bit from the concession stands on the sea front, in search of food. They didn't have sausages for their Sunday Brunch but free styled the pictured dish with Asparagus and extra bacon which was excellent, especially with the parmesan on top! Will definitely remember to pop in here again if in the area.

I've visited this restaurant before (last year) and the food was good. I don't generally leave negative reviews, since I know it may negatively affect small businesses, however I feel very strongly that this sort of service is not good enough and should not be tolerated by anyone. Perhaps I can prevent other customers from having a similar experience if they decide not to visit due to this review, or maybe the owners will decide to be more empathetic and kind if they reflect on this review (up to them I suppose).

I visited this weekend with my partner and friends and was surprised by the unkind and unpleasant reception from the owner. The place was empty except for a handful of other customers.

I asked if they would serve me boiled eggs instead of poached eggs and explained that it was because I have a health condition and egg yolks make me ill (I need to separate them from the egg white). When I explained this to the owner she gave me a cynical smile and told us that 'the chef won't do that, he will only poach the eggs'. There was something quite sinister about her demeanor and we could tell that she simply did not care, such was her apathy towards us.

We left the restaurant without ordering anything. We went to Baffi across the road for pizza instead which was brilliant - being served by staff who actually cared.

We believe the management of Coffee Saloon needs to take a long hard look at themselves. We certainly won't...

This used to be our fave coffee shop in the area. Changed hands a while back and we’ve given it a few shots to impress but it hasn’t, so won’t be going back. First ordered toasties and coffee to go. Coffees arrived but food took so long the hot coffees were cold. My daughter ordered an iced coffee and it looked nothing like the drink she’d had there previously and tasted and looked like the coffee shot had been forgotten. Mentioned this to the girls making the coffees who spoke to a lady that I believe is the owner. She basically said that’s how we make them if you don’t like it we,ll put a shot in but it will be 1.50 extra. I explained I didn’t think it had been made right but they were borderline rude to be honest. Went back in recently for a couple of banana breads and a couple of coffees. (Flat white and mocha) Pretty gobsmacked that this was £16.50. Waited for the bread and the girl serving walked past and literally threw the box of bread on the table in front of us. No words, no smile. As a comparison we went to the incredible bigwigs bakery the next day had the friendliest swift service, 2 of the same coffees and delicious homemade praline pastry and a huge sausage toastie to dine in for £15.10. Coffee saloon is overpriced...
