Mid afternoon scone and coffee break after a walk in the park, just my wife and I. Fruit scone was an abomination. A massive thing which looked full of promise on the shelf but was dry, dense and I gave up almost immediately - butter and jam seemed to have no effect on moistening the brick. Inedible. Coffee ok. Service ok. Getting the sofas was the only positive but they were filthy, used to within an inch of their life and we could barely see the lovely view through the filthy full length windows. A real shame all round. The museum is excellent, the cafe is not. Alternative cafe option at the park is Henry's cafe in the college grounds.

What a lovely little cafe, great service from the girls and in particular Eve who was very polite, attentive and give excellent customer service. Prices are very reasonable and the coffee was absolutely beautiful after a long walk round the beautiful park. Definitely worth a visit and the cafe even has a dog zone! I'll will be returning.

Staff are friendly and helpful even if I was wrecking the place, food reasonably priced Shame I didn't know about the paramo until after I'd ordered but there's always next time

Had pot of tea inside and bought 2 fruit scones to take home. Don't know how old they were but hard as rock and certainly not fresh. Never again. Very disappointing. Judging by some responses I have seen from the owner I cant see anything improving. Go to Henry's. They know how to make scones

I received a reply from the owner who informs me the scones are freshly made every day 😂. We purchased the scones as early as 11am and they were the only 2 there so obviously left over from the previous day. I couldn't inform the girls because as I said I'd bought them to take HOME. As for him suggesting I go to Henry's where they buy in the scones.. I can assure you there scones are home made and beautiful. Maybe he should spend some time supervising...

Came to the cafe for the first and last time, stood and waited 10-15 mins to be served, lass behind the counter just walking back and forth, no communication for the late service, asked for a breakfast when i was served. Told there was no bacon or sausages, asked for a jacket potato, none of those either, instead of making customers waste time waiting why not enquire what a customer is waiting for? dogs barking and going for each other in the corner also, first time going, won't be going again.

Edit* the only available table away from dogs jumping up at each other was also still left with 3 plates of half eaten food and a mucky coffee mug, needless to say with the service we ended up doing their jobs for them and cleaned the...
