Coracle Inn — Restaurant in England

I'm posting on behalf of my husband and our girls. We were visiting the Acton Arms in Moreville and had the pleasure of meeting the landlord, landlady and their daughter plus their staff. They were warm, welcoming, served good food, friendly and a lovely family with good staff so after they left the Acton Arms pub, we went to their pub the Coracle Tavern to see what it was like. As expected, the welcome, friendliness, excellent service and excellent food left a family of four feeling extremely happy. We would definitely recommend this pub to anyone looking to find a pub that has everything, we loved the meal and we have found this to be the best pub and service to date. It's not just the food but the attitude of the family and staff that make this pub one that you would want to revisit. Their daughter Georgina encouraged us to come back and we will. I want to bring my mom and friend to show how a pub should be run. The staff are always polite and helpful, everything is done with pleasure which highlights how the family are that the staff are well trained. We celebrated our wedding at The Coracle in July 2025, and it honestly couldn’t have been better! I left most things quite last minute and I’m not the most decisive person, but Cathy made everything so easy. She was amazing from start to finish — full of great ideas, super organised, and really went above and beyond to make sure our day ran perfectly.

The decorations looked beautiful, the food was delicious, and the whole atmosphere was just lovely. I was able to completely relax and enjoy the day, which is exactly what you want as a bride!

The location is ideal too — nice and central for most of our guests, and just a short drive into the town centre. A big thank you as well to Luke behind the bar, who handled everything so calmly (even when a child managed to get glow stick liquid in their eye!). He kept things running smoothly all evening.

The cost of the day was so reasonable, especially with the amount of time, effort, and detail Cathy put in — she even baked our wedding cake herself, and it was absolutely delicious!

I honestly couldn’t recommend The Coracle enough. It’s a fantastic venue, run by wonderful people, and we’d happily book again for future...

We went for the Sunday lunch cravey fantastic food and service the staff were fantastic couldn't do more for us it was my partners birthday the reason we went out there was 9 of us in total they had over heard this and wanted to make it special for him so after we had finished they brought him a brownie with cream and marshmallows with a candle and we all sang happy birthday, Gary head no idea about it really did end the meal feeling special on his special day, thank u to all the staff for making this happen we will be back the food was spot on
