Pizza Hut Shrewsbury — Restaurant in England

We ordered for delivery at 7.20pm and it was due at 7.50pm. After 30 more mins (late) the driver called to say he was knocking at the door. It turns out the wrong door miles away. So I then gave him the correct address accepting that the Pizzas will be cold now but we needed to eat as our child was up way too late now! We waited a further 30 mins and still nothing as it should have taken around 5-8mins from that address. We called the store and the guy who answered the phone was the most unprofessional person I have spoken to in a long while he basically didn’t care and said the driver had gone off to a different location and said to me we had two choices wait a further 30 mins for the driver to do the drop off and then deliver what would be very cold pizzas or they could re cook the pizzas and send out in an hours time which of course would be unacceptable. So I complained about this and the guy on the phone start being quite angry and after I asked him to calm down he put the phone down (this is unacceptable I run a marketing agency covering a lot of food restaurants). My partner (who is a teacher) then called and explained the situation and spoke with the same guy on the phone who proceeded to lie to my partner saying I was ‘swearing’ at him on the phone, my partner was in the room with me and explained that ‘I’ do not swear. He also said there are no guarantees that the order would arrive within an hour as there might be other issues on other orders! Anyway the outcome was we didn’t get our food Our little one had to have something else and we had cheese on toast as too late to cook anything! So the guy on the phone really needs retraining or just sacking to be fair and that place really needs to book up...

I recently came to the United Kingdom on a visit visa for some work and while staying in Shrewsbury Town I decided to try the Pizza Hut branch here. Honestly I was really impressed.

The food was fresh hot and full of flavour exactly the way you want it when you are craving pizza. What made the experience even better was the service. I want to especially mention Muhammad who was looking after customers that day. He was welcoming polite and very professional. He explained the menu helped me with my order and made sure everything was perfect. His positive attitude and friendly behaviour really stood out and left a great impression on me.

It is rare these days to see staff who genuinely care about customer experience and Muhammad was definitely one of them.

Overall I would say this Pizza Hut branch in Shrewsbury Town is definitely worth trying. The food was great but the service made it even better. I will surely recommend it to others and whenever I visit the UK again I would love to order...

Ordered Pizza with a delivery time quoted at 30 to 40 minutes. 1 hour in I called to query and I was told the driver had gone through town and was stuck in traffic and road works. This shocked me as where we live from the hut shop, there are two direct routes which are quicker and have reduced traffic. The app was showing as 4 mins to arrival and this stayed for about 20 mins. Making this feature absolutely pointless. The pizza arrived at 1 hour and ten minutes after ordering. No shock to say that the pizza was warm at best when my expectation is hot.
