Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

A great, easily accessible location just off the roundabout. It’s very accessible as everything is on one level. An absolute gem for a late afternoon coffee and snack! The staff are extremely welcoming and helpful and nothing is too much trouble ! Even though we arrived at 17.45pm, there was still a great selection of food and drinks to choose from. Obviously in the high holiday season, this may not be the case! The service was second to none and so lovely to have one’s order brought to the table! Our coffees were piping hot and so was our food! All delicious! Inside is spotless, with ample and spacious, comfortable seating to choose from. The toilets are spotless and there is ample parking outside, as well as a “drive thru”. There is a covered outside, pleasant seating area, (again spotlessly clean). This is a dog friendly area, where you can also enjoy eating and drinking from Costa crockery etc, rather than take away paper cups etc. There is also a small grassy area that you can walk your dog if you need to. Usually they are good at this Costa but I went there this morning I asked for a oat milk hot chocolate with caramel syrup the girl asked if I wanted marshmallows or cream I clearly said no cream but marshmallows please in a separate cup which she clearly heard me say my husband then ordered his drink I went to the bathroom whilst waiting when I got back my drink was ready but no marshmallows so I asked for them she said they were in the drink I explained I clearly asked for them separately but she said it wasn’t on the receipt they obviously forgot to put it on there even though the girl acknowledged me saying it they gave no apologies and wouldn’t even make me a new one and you also pay extra for marshmallows so I didn’t see a problem with them remaking it when it’s their mistake we won’t be going there...

Travelled from Merriott this afternoon to get a costa for our family of 4 only to be refused a takeaway service by the store as we could not get in the drive-thru due to height restrictions on my work vehicle. We were under the impression we would still be able to get a takeaway service from the counter but the shop door was physically locked on arrival and the staff made no exceptions to try and serve our needs. Basically point blank refused any suggestions to pay at the door and be bought our drinks or even walking through the drive-thru!! Even told their takeaway service finished at 4pm when the signs on the door stated they were open until 6pm. Poor management and if I was the franchise holder I would not be impressed with the way staff handled...
