Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Lady who did the drinks was polite and courteous great customer service skills 10/10

Bald Man wearing glasses, rude impolite and snappy told me off for waiting behind the man being served- I should have been stood over by the glass counter- I was waiting behind the man being served he said that I shouldnt have been stood there as that wasn't the queue, I just smiled apologized said I didnt realize and stood where he had said. I don't know why he had to point this out to me and everyone else in the cafe.

I had a look and there weren't any cakes in the glass cabinet besides the two that had fruit in them, I decided to eat a pastry I had previously bought in tesco with all the drinks I had just purchased 2x pot of tea and a big hot chocolate, he walked past and loudly said YOU DIDNT BUY THAT CAKE IN HERE SO YOU SHOULDNT EAT IT IN HERE I HAVE MY CAKES IN THE GLASS CABINET FOR A REASON YOU KNOW, THATS WHY THERE ARE SIGNS TELLING YOU NOT TO EAT IT IF YOU HAVEN'T BOUGHT IT IN COSTA! Once again I apologized and said that I hadn't seen the signs and that I hadn't thought it to be a problem as I had purchased teapots of tea and drinks in his store .

Listen I'm sorry if I broke your rules however have a bit more respect for customers, I didnt pay money to be made to feel like an idiot. I decided not to buy anymore drinks and I thought he would just be rude to me again so instead went without another round of drinks and waited elsewhere for the friend who was supposed to grab something to eat and drink in Costa.

I'm guessing that this man is the general manager because of the way he said it is HIS cabinet of cakes? Very rude. Also i don't understand why he was stood on his phone behind the he station while his colleague was doing all the work. Lazy ignorant man. I shan't return to tesco Costa. Visit Costa in the town centre instead went there...

Honestly, I'd give no stars if I could. I go to Costa almost every day in Plymouth... Different stores each day. No problem. I am here visiting my partners family and they said that I could eat something from Tescos in there as they do all the time. I got something in Tescos as the food in Costa messes with my stomach and I was very hungry running very low blood sugar wise. I got mine and my partners drinks, this was a joke! 5 at taps to makeep my order as the clerk was too busy trying to make the drinks for the staff member who is there to make the drinks. The only reason she was going slowly is she didn't seem to understand what the till chappy was trying to do. I was then charged more than I should have been but didn't say anything... I just wanted my drink! It then took about 10 minutes for my drinks to be made because the girl started making the drink for the girl behind me because she was "in a rush". I finally got to my seat with a different drink entirely for my partner due to not having anything left from the other option... and we get asked to put our food away as they "do not accept it here" and we"could be asked to leave". Never will be returning. Never had such a horrible...

So I paid a visit to Costa coffee in Launceston on the business park . Normally I don't have a problem but today was particularly bad . Now baring in mind I had a stroke back at the end of 2020 my speech isn't great but I'm getting there so the young lady who took my order couldn't hear me very well because of my face mask but instead of asking me to repeat it she decided to make a comment under her breath to her colleague behind her noticed by myself and my daughter .so we finally got the order correct and came to payment I scanned my Costa card app and wanted to use the points but was not given the chance was not even asked . I normally don't like leaving bad reviews but today has caught me on a bad day . Maybe it's the hot weather that has affected their customer...
