Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

It's a standard template Costa,so there isn't much to add if you've visited one before. The coffee is fine and the standard of cleanliness is good. Having said that the service has always been very good and the queues not too long even in tourist season.

I have tried editing the location for this Costa on Google Maps but with no apparent luck and Google persists in giving the address as if it is the one at Morrisons petrol station, despite the fact that this one (which is also a 'drive thru') is a different outlet. The proper address for this one is Unit 3, St. Michael's Business Park, Eastern Green, TR18 3AP. Curiously the Costa website shows the 'sit-down' part as separate to the 'drive-thru', which is shown with a different postcode (TR18 3FH) despite the fact that they are in the same building (the icon for the drive thru shows it in an incorrect location on waste ground west of Sainsbury's). The coffee was great, but the guy serving lied twice to me, not on. I scanned my app, then was told to covid scan, phone wouldn't, didn't tell me to www. It, just went back behind the counter as I faffed. Got it sorted, asked if my points app was still OK,. Yes. I knew he wasn't being truthful. He threw. My receipt in the bin, I asked if he could still see how many points I had and had the points fir this been added, he went and printed receipt, threw it in the bin and said the app would tell me. Looked at app, no points, not sure how long it takes to register so asked fir a receipt, he printed another, with "you would have earned 25 points" clearly on it, which I pointed out and asked him to add them. With a harrumph a belligerent teenager would have been proud of . He should have just said right away, scan your app again. All of that was unnecessary,. He I'd probably the rudest member of staff at that Costa. Why you still employ him is beyond me, unless...

This is the out of town, drive through Costa. It has free parking and is busy no matter what time of year you visit. Having said that, the staff are always friendly. Do their best to not only get your order right and offer a fast service, but also clear and clean tables as quickly as possible so you don't end up sitting in someone else's mess. There is a large age range of staff who all work well together and cover every job, so the place feels welcoming no matter what your age. You never feel rushed, regardless of how busy the place is and there is a good range of seating options for business, eating, or relaxation. It feels light and airy as there are glass walls on two sides, being an out of town new build.
