2025 Update. Wouldn't change a thing. They've still got it.

Just bought and ate 5 pasties. 2 Flaky pastry steak, 2 Cheese and vegetable, and one short crust steak. General opinions in the family are that this is top tier delicious as good as anything you'll have anywhere pasties. The flaky pastry was crisp and delicious, a stand out alteration to the regular short crust. But the filling was also top notch. The steak was delicious and generous, less peppery than many other pasties but in no way disappointing. For me, maybe my favourite Cornish pasty ever. The cheese pasties basically just substitute cheese for steak and I stole a taste and they were really good. If you're in this part of the world, make the detour to this stonking good pasty shop. There are cakes and sausage rolls and drinks available too, but this is just a straight up pasty review. 10/10,...

Unfortunately my pasty was hardly warm! I did ask if they could warm it up but she said they don’t have the facility to do that, fair enough. These are my favourite pasties and I hate to say this was the worst one I ever had. If it’s cold it might as well be a ginsters 🤮 i did go back a third time to ask for a refund but if I didn’t ask it wouldn’t have been offered, you’d only receive “yeahhhh, sorry.” From the more senior member of staff which is what I received the second time I went in. A different women seemed more professional and offered a warm pasty if they could find one at the back but it wasn’t up to scratch so at least I got a refund so I thank that person for giving it a go. Unfortunately I’m still hungry :(( I have had many pasties here that were hot and they were scrumptious so maybe I came at a time they warmed up the left overs from the day...

We ordered 20 pasties for a family funeral lunch, and all the family are Cornish and up the county so hadn't had Cornish Oven before, but all very experienced pasty eaters! Everyone was blown away by them - not a single crumb left over! Thank you Cornish Oven for excellence in the pasties and in your service - they came out of the oven just as my husband arrived to pick them up and they were boxed up all piping hot. It was the perfect way to celebrate my Dad's life - at 97 years old he still loved a good Cornish pasty and you...
