This is a small bed and breakfast guest house in Penzance. It is situated near the railway and bus stations, also the harbour & town; around a 10 minute walk. There is a bus stop just a couple of minutes along the road with regular buses passing. There is also parking for guests with cars. The helipad is conveniently near for those travelling to the Scilly Isles, though not so near that you hear the helicopters. The hosts, Clare and Kevin are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have a TV and free WiFi. The full English breakfast is wonderful, though other options are available. I thoroughly recommend this place.

A fantastic little B&B situated within a short walk of Penzance, including off-street parking. The atmosphere presented by owners Claire & Kevin is so friendly and welcoming. My room was very well presented and comfortable, including a balcony view towards St. Michael's Mount. Room/Lodge was quite and peaceful by night. Free WiFi available. Strongly recommend staying here and I will be returning. Stayed three nights 14-17 April 2023.

A very comfortable and welcoming place. Easy to access parking. Short walk to any and all in Penzance. We also walked to and fro to St Michael’s Mount though there is plentiful parking adjacent to the causeway to the Mount. Breakfast was prepared to order with lots of choices and was as good as any we have had.

When returning to this B & B at 10.30 in the evening we were unable to get into the front door with the keys provided. We rang the doorbell but no-one answered. We called the phone no. but it went to answerphone. After several minutes of waiting on the doorstep an irate man answered the door accusing us of "waking everybody up". We told him the key did not fit, he didn't believe us so he came outside, closed the door & tried the key himself. He also could then not get it! He had locked himself out and had to retrieve a spare key from a lockbox in order to get back in. We also came into the house then, and asked him what the problem with the key was. He then flew into a rage & accused us of "bending the lock"! And that "There is no problem with the f....... key". He then suddenly lost his temper & manhandled us out of the property whilst shouting "Get out of my f.......... house". We are two pensioners & we were left outside with no where to stay, speechless, totally shocked and stunned by this outrageous behaviour. We later learned that the man in question was Kevin Lynch, the proprietor. You have...

We booked (and paid for) a 2 night stay in April 2025 back in July 2024, for a family room (3 people) through hotels.com. When we arrived 9 months later it turned out he had cancelled our booking without informing hotels.com. Kevin was absolute rude and proceeded to tell us booking. Com and hotels.com were the same company. Utter tosh. He then said we could t have booked as they don’t have family rooms. Well guess what Kevin you did when I booked. This idiot and his wife were no use and refused to help us out. We had travelled 3 hours and I have to say that hotels.com sourced us out excellent accommodation (Chiverton House). It seems to us that these charlatans didn’t want the hassle with Hotels.com (I have searched a number of future dates and all sold out!). Rather than fessing up and admitting he cancelled and didn’t have the guts to tell us he continued to be unhelpful. I wouldn’t stay in his gaffe if you paid me to. Very unhelpful...

As soon as we parked the car outside Bay Lodge, Clare came out to warmly greet us and show us to our room. The room was modern, clean and bright with lots of mirrors and plenty of storage (drawers/wardrobe) for your belongings. The bay window had a side view of the sea. The busy road was quite noisy, but went quiet at night. The large room had tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom had a walk-in shower. Plenty of plug sockets.||Breakfast, deliciously cooked by Kevin, set us up for the day, fruit and cereals also provided. ||A short walk to the train station and ferry port, with some good pubs to eat in. Also, in the opposite direction it was possible to walk to Marazion and St Michael’s Mount along the coastal path.||It was an ideal base to get connections (helicopter, aeroplane or ferry) to the...
