Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

Nice coffee shop. Service normally quite quick even when there's a queue at the till. Nice atmosphere and modern decor and furniture. 1-2 times got my drink order wrong (used cow's milk instead of milk alternative) and since I feel the need to watch over them to make sure the drink is as ordered. Unfortunately, tables often left full of used dishes and cups and guest need to move items to have free tables to sit at. Could they introduce a shelving system where the guest to take their tray back. if needed can be added in the bill if the guest doesn't with to take their tray back to have a small surcharge fee for table cleaning service. it's can also get rather noisy in there, anybody with sensitive to sounds wouldn't enjoy the atmosphere. Quality of the drinks are good, coffee is nice. the seasonal and additional drinks however boast of flavour overload from various syrups. I would prefer to have an "steamer" option where I can enjoy the flavour of the syrup without mixing it with coffee. Overall, nice coffee shop apart from the...

I used to really enjoy having my daily coffee and treat here but I got the impression that they now want you “in and out” very quickly as I was constantly given lukewarm coffee and it was run like a pit stop on a race track. I had to constantly ask for my coffee to be hot and it always seemed like I’d insulted them personally when I did 😫

It never used to be difficult to find a table that had been emptied and cleaned but it now needs planning when ordering lol 🤔

Most of the staff are lovely but the couple that aren’t made my visits an unpleasant one! If only they could all be like Lauren!!

It is understandable that stock of food runs low from time to time but when it happens at this Costa it can sometimes take nearly a week to replenish and the choice is limited to just a few items.

After a lot of perseverance, I now use a rival coffee shop where every hot drink is “hot,” there is always a wide of range of food and I don’t feel like I’m just making more ££££’s...

COSTA DAVENTRY ... Terrible, all the staff were interested in was selling coffee. There were over 20 tables that needed cleaning and people looking for somewhere to sit. There was a table near where I sat that had been used but it wasnt obvious.. I told 3 people that approached the table that it hadn't been cleaned and they moved away but the options were very limited as tables were not being cleaned. Spoke to a member of staff and asked why weren't they cleaning tables and she just looked at me as if I was stupid. NOT IMPRESSED COSTA!!! WONT BE...
