Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

I would not recommend going to this costa. This evening I went in for a drink and to say that the workers were rude would be an understatement. I sat down waiting for our friend to come with our drinks when I was asked to move by a worker. This was a request that I didn’t mind doing but the tone in which she used with me was completely and utterly rude and condescending for no reason. Why she had to use such tone for a simple request I do not know. This is n it the first time that I have had a problem with this costa shop. The staff there just seems to be ones who do not know the meaning of work. Half of the time they spend more time gossiping and chatting with each other that you are sometimes waiting 15-20 minutes for your drink and if it is a hot drink it is usually nearly cold by the time that you get it. Went in with my 2 young kids and my little girl touched the counter,( she's 6) the man behind the counter was extremley rude and abrupt and told her not to do this, I understand hygiene but it wasn't like she had dirty hands and was running her hands along it all, she literally touched it like u naturally might do, have had this a couple of times now with 1 certain man that works there, haven't been impressed recently with there customer service, Ilminster is much friendlier!!! He also was very rude to another customer and said they couldn't sit at a certain end of the cafe even though they wernt closing for an hour and a half, it wasn't very...

Of all the Coffee shops in Chard, and all the Costa franchises I have been to, this is the best of both! The usual range of coffees that a costa has is available as you would expect, but what you wouldn't expect is the atmosphere! The shop is long and thin (kind of like a handtowel), and is very comfortably furnished. The staff are warm and welcoming, and happy to cater to any special needs you may have.

As an added bonus, the shop is Dog Friendly! Although they can only sit at the front of the store, having a cute dog sat next you while you enjoy a nice coffee on a rainy day is a nice feeling.
