Not pleased! Me and my partner visit cremes quiet often as a treat after work. A few weeks ago we went and our waffles where cold but we thought nothing of it. Last night we went for a lovely meal and decided to go cremes as a treat, we arrived and had to wait 5 minutes no problem, my partner ordered our food and returned. I received my waffle and part of it was hard and crispy where it had been cooked for to long. After about 15minutes I asked my partner if he had actually ordered something until he's waffle arrived which was called hungry jack with no custard. Once he took a bite I asked him if he's apple pie was hot and it turns out to be freezing as well as he's waffle and he's waffle being over cooked like mine. My partner asked the gentleman who brought his waffle over for our drink, the gentleman took our recipt and brought out j20 over but not returning our recipt. I phoned about and hour & half after we had left as my partner had to pull to the side of the road to be sick and constantly kept bringing up his waffle, spoke to the manager and she asked if we had our recipt I explained it was taken and not returned, so I told her what we had and what our table number was and she said she'd check cctv and phone me back this was about 10:30pm. About an hour or so after I phoned back to get no answer so I left it till the following day. I phoned the following day off my number and there wasn't an answer so I decided to try my partners phone and they answered, I asked to speak to the manager again and I was left on hold for 10minutes until it was cut off, so I phoned back and yet again no answer, left it about 20minutes and tried again and the gentleman who answered told me the manager wasn't in only the assistant manager and that the assistant manager can't get hold of the cctv and basically didn't want to help at all. I am not pleased at all as I've been up all night with my partner with food poisoning. Will never be returning due to poor food, poor service and poor...
Read moreI recentlly visited Creams at Southend and I am compelled to share my incredibly disappointing experience with their toilet facilities. Despite the fact that there were four staff working and the restaurant was not even busy, the condition of the toilet was absolutely appalling.
Upon entering the toilet, I was greeted with an overwhelming stench and an overall unclean environment. The floors were dirty, and it was clear that they had not been properly cleaned for quite some time. The lack of attention to hygiene was evident, and it left me feeling disgusted.
To make matters worse, there was absolutely no toilet paper available in any of the stalls. It is absolutely mind-boggling how a restaurant, especially one with multiple employees on duty, could fail to ensure such a basic necessity. This is a fundamental requirement for any establishment, and it reflects poorly on their overall management and attention to customer satisfaction.
I understand that maintaining a clean toilet can be challenging, but it is the responsibility of the restaurant staff to prioritise cleanliness and ensure a pleasant experience for their customers. It is clear that the staff at Creams have failed miserably in this regard.
I strongly advise the management of Creams to take immediate action and address these issues. Neglecting the cleanliness of the toilet and failing to provide something as basic as toilet paper is simply unacceptable. I sincerely hope that my unpleasant experience serves as a wake-up call for the management to make significant improvements in their restroom maintenance and overall customer service.
In conclusion, based on my experience with the dirty restroom and lack of toilet paper at Creams, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. It is truly disheartening to witness such a disregard for basic...
Read moreMy partner took our 4 year old daughter here to get some ice cream. When they arrived our daughter needed to use the toilet, so my partner went to take her before ordering.
She was stopped by a female member of staff who told her that the toilets were for customers only. My partner tried to explain to the lady that our 4 year old needed to use the toilet and that she would be ordering something afterwards. The staff member refused and said she would need to order before using the toilets.
When my partner tried to explain that as a 4 year old child, (who aren’t known for exceptional bladder control) she was desperate and urgently needed the toilet, the staff member became rude and began raising her voice toward them. She stated that my partner and child “were not welcome here” and that she “doesn’t want to see their faces here again.” This happened in full view and earshot of other customers and was an embarrassing experience for my partner and upsetting for our daughter, not to mention a completely unreasonable stance to take.
Soon after, I returned to the store to speak to the manager, the staff member in question claimed that she was in fact the assistant manager. When I questioned her about the rude and unnecessary treatment of my partner and child, I was also met with an aggressive and confrontational manner. I was not allowed to finish a sentence without being shouted over and told I was lying.
If this is how an ice cream shop deems it appropriate to treat their customers, particularly those with children, who seemingly would be their key demographic, then I think they need to reconsider their customer service policy.
I contacted Creams directly to complain about this and to give them an opportunity to explain. At the time of writing they have...
