Absolutely Disgusting Hygiene Standards – Avoid at All Costs! I cannot stress enough how appalling the hygiene standards are at Creams in Southend. I walked in expecting a decent dessert, but what I witnessed was beyond unacceptable. The staff were handling food with bare hands, not a glove in sight. One of them was constantly touching his face, itching, wiping his nose, and coughing—all while preparing food! No handwashing, no basic hygiene, just straight from rubbing his face to handling ingredients. He was touching the till, countertops, and everything else in between, contaminating everything in sight. This is a complete and utter failure of hygiene and food safety standards, and frankly, it’s shocking that this place is even allowed to operate. Food businesses in the UK are legally required to follow strict hygiene protocols, and this establishment clearly couldn’t care less. Where is the management? Where is the food safety enforcement? I will be reporting this place to the relevant authorities because it is absolutely disgusting that people are being served food in such unsanitary conditions. If you care about your health, do NOT eat here. This is a breeding ground for foodborne illness, and it’s only a matter of time before someone gets seriously sick. Sort your standards out, Creams Southend – this is beyond unacceptable.

Left note on order to knock door and not ring bell as kids asleep - delivery driver rang repeatedly, not giving me time to even get to the door between rings. When I pointed it out, he copped an attitude despite the receipt stapled to the bag stating the instructions. Proceeded to wake my youngest... That was actually the best experience with the order, believe it or not. I ordered the chicken waffle bites with maple syrup. Maple syrup packed in a pot with loose cling film, I'm sure you can imagine the state with which it arrived. Let's just say there were about 2ml of syrup left in the pot. Opened the box to find a full waffle with random.chicken bits in it, not the bites as stated. Now for the worst part... bit into it and had to spit straight back out - RANCID GONE OFF CHICKEN! When you go close to the waffle you can SMELL the rotten chicken THROUGH the batter. Utterly disgusting! And if I didn't prefer to stay alive, I would have eaten it just so I could sue them, that way they could never serve this vile health hazard to anyone ever again! I'm about to call the restaurant after this review, but PLEASE don't buy from here! I ought to call trading standards tbh. Delivery time was the only acceptable thing.

I don't usually do reviews unless its a good one, all for promoting good businesses, however on this occasion I am going to share sadly a bad experience we have just had, having received what was suppose to be a Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough (VG) 'An indulgent blend of hot, chunky and chewy vegan chocolate cookie dough with a rich vegan chocolate sauce, chocolate absolute sorbet and cocoa powder.' I understand its a take away so wouldn't be presented in the same fashion as in the 'cafe'. However I cannot believe they charged almost Nine quid for this at £8.95, We had 2 of these and other items, spending around just over £40 and this is what we got! First time and last time we will ever be using Creams Cafe Southend! If it was a couple of quid then maybe it would just about be acceptable, but to send such meagre portions and poor quality out to customers is hardly likely to ensure return customers, well not here anyway!

Not pleased! Me and my partner visit cremes quiet often as a treat after work. A few weeks ago we went and our waffles where cold but we thought nothing of it. Last night we went for a lovely meal and decided to go cremes as a treat, we arrived and had to wait 5 minutes no problem, my partner ordered our food and returned. I received my waffle and part of it was hard and crispy where it had been cooked for to long. After about 15minutes I asked my partner if he had actually ordered something until he's waffle arrived which was called hungry jack with no custard. Once he took a bite I asked him if he's apple pie was hot and it turns out to be freezing as well as he's waffle and he's waffle being over cooked like mine. My partner asked the gentleman who brought his waffle over for our drink, the gentleman took our recipt and brought out j20 over but not returning our recipt. I phoned about and hour & half after we had left as my partner had to pull to the side of the road to be sick and constantly kept bringing up his waffle, spoke to the manager and she asked if we had our recipt I explained it was taken and not returned, so I told her what we had and what our table number was and she said she'd check cctv and phone me back this was about 10:30pm. About an hour or so after I phoned back to get no answer so I left it till the following day. I phoned the following day off my number and there wasn't an answer so I decided to try my partners phone and they answered, I asked to speak to the manager again and I was left on hold for 10minutes until it was cut off, so I phoned back and yet again no answer, left it about 20minutes and tried again and the gentleman who answered told me the manager wasn't in only the assistant manager and that the assistant manager can't get hold of the cctv and basically didn't want to help at all. I am not pleased at all as I've been up all night with my partner with food poisoning. Will never be returning due to poor food, poor service and poor...

I recentlly visited Creams at Southend and I am compelled to share my incredibly disappointing experience with their toilet facilities. Despite the fact that there were four staff working and the restaurant was not even busy, the condition of the toilet was absolutely appalling.

Upon entering the toilet, I was greeted with an overwhelming stench and an overall unclean environment. The floors were dirty, and it was clear that they had not been properly cleaned for quite some time. The lack of attention to hygiene was evident, and it left me feeling disgusted.

To make matters worse, there was absolutely no toilet paper available in any of the stalls. It is absolutely mind-boggling how a restaurant, especially one with multiple employees on duty, could fail to ensure such a basic necessity. This is a fundamental requirement for any establishment, and it reflects poorly on their overall management and attention to customer satisfaction.

I understand that maintaining a clean toilet can be challenging, but it is the responsibility of the restaurant staff to prioritise cleanliness and ensure a pleasant experience for their customers. It is clear that the staff at Creams have failed miserably in this regard.

I strongly advise the management of Creams to take immediate action and address these issues. Neglecting the cleanliness of the toilet and failing to provide something as basic as toilet paper is simply unacceptable. I sincerely hope that my unpleasant experience serves as a wake-up call for the management to make significant improvements in their restroom maintenance and overall customer service.

In conclusion, based on my experience with the dirty restroom and lack of toilet paper at Creams, I cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. It is truly disheartening to witness such a disregard for basic...

My partner took our 4 year old daughter here to get some ice cream. When they arrived our daughter needed to use the toilet, so my partner went to take her before ordering.

She was stopped by a female member of staff who told her that the toilets were for customers only. My partner tried to explain to the lady that our 4 year old needed to use the toilet and that she would be ordering something afterwards. The staff member refused and said she would need to order before using the toilets.

When my partner tried to explain that as a 4 year old child, (who aren’t known for exceptional bladder control) she was desperate and urgently needed the toilet, the staff member became rude and began raising her voice toward them. She stated that my partner and child “were not welcome here” and that she “doesn’t want to see their faces here again.” This happened in full view and earshot of other customers and was an embarrassing experience for my partner and upsetting for our daughter, not to mention a completely unreasonable stance to take.

Soon after, I returned to the store to speak to the manager, the staff member in question claimed that she was in fact the assistant manager. When I questioned her about the rude and unnecessary treatment of my partner and child, I was also met with an aggressive and confrontational manner. I was not allowed to finish a sentence without being shouted over and told I was lying.

If this is how an ice cream shop deems it appropriate to treat their customers, particularly those with children, who seemingly would be their key demographic, then I think they need to reconsider their customer service policy.

I contacted Creams directly to complain about this and to give them an opportunity to explain. At the time of writing they have...
