Cafe Munchies — Restaurant in England

Following previous good reviews we thought we would give Munchies a go. Good choice of food and realistic pricing, however the quality of the food is very bland and basic, fried slice was soggy from swimming in tinned tomato water, mushroom dripping with oil, baked beans and sausages totally tasteless, fried eggs slightly snotty, bacon was overly salty, hash brown was nice (it escaped from being submerged) I would recommend that they go for more quality food products rather than the cheapest available and strain the tinned tom's before serving, this won't hurt the profits too much as you'll gain more returning customers. Atmosphere is good, clean l, tidy, chairs slightly uncomfortable on your back. Service from staff is pleasant and welcoming, only issue here was not knowing if fully table Service or counter, as your offered a seat and menu then and left alone until they come back passing and say to order and pay at the counter, a little heads up when seated...

Sorry to say. But wont be going anymore. My partners jaket potato. Was sort of burnt on outside. And my brekfast gave me gut ack. For 3 ta 4 hours. Its a shame as there food is normally very good. May be just a bad day at the office for them. Went into munches for first time in a long time. Was surprised. As looks like new staff. The cafe looked cleaner. Than it used to. And the food was a lot better. As was the cappuccino I had. I've given it a new 5 rate due to the new staff. And it being...

Typical “greasy spoon” full English cooked breakfast cafe. Traditional meals for lunch and dinner. Cash only establishment. Plenty of cash machines around. Busy business as food and quality are plenty. Service welcoming and provided with a smile. Everything was clean and spotless. Unisex toilet available - clean.

We would visit again. Recommended.
