The service was poor, the staff were abrupt. On arrival we were told to "loiter" outside until our table was ready. Once seated we waited 15 minutes for a waitress to take our order - 4 afternoon teas. The drinks arrived and were drunk before the food arrived because we waited a further 30 minutes. We asked for the cakes not eaten to be wrapped to take away and were handed a small bag and told "most people manage with this". The food wasn't as shown in the photos on the website. The salad was old and brown. The scones were dry and plain not with sultanas and the cream was whipped not clotted. The acoustics inside were poor resulting in our conversation being blocked out by the conversation of 3 ladies on a neighbouring table. There was a vacuum cleaner left under a nearby table. We noticed when other customers asked passing waitresses for more drinks they were told that they would come back to take their order but they didn't. The place was busy but that is no excuse for poor service. They shouldn't over book if they can't deliver good service. We wouldn't recommend DaisyTea Rooms. It wasn't the enjoyable experience...

Excellent.!!

We’re staying in a cottage about 10 mins walk from the local supermarket, Scalby High Street and of course, the Daisy Cafe.

This little eatery is a great find. Staff are friendly and attentive and we sat outside at one of the tables with our dog.

Good selection of food and coffees. We enjoyed their take on a chicken caesar with a side of chunky chips (pictured), and a sausage sandwich on granary. Molly, our cocker was treated to a dog biscuit by the waitstaff.

All in all an enjoyable experience. We’ll definitely go back before we...

Was treated to afternoon tea as part of my birthday treats. Greeted by really friendly staff - who checked on us during our visit without being intrusive. Huge pot of tea - amazing sandwiches and cakes. First time 'plain' scones available instead of fruit - not major to most but perfect for us. Couldn't fault our visit and will definitely return. Had afternoon tea several times in many locations but this was definitely the best. Certainly worth a visit ... and the price £14.50 seemed super cheap for the amount of delicious treats we...

We came here after seeing good reviews. I had beans on toast on granary bread, my partner had egg and avocado on toast. We shared a big pot of tea and the scones were 10/10. The decor was nice. There are benches and tables to also sit outside. Some tables get reserved so maybe best to phone first in busy times. The service and food was 10/10, well worth a visit.
