Dancing Moose Ashley Cross — Restaurant in England

I know Sunday mornings are busy and our group wasn't in a particular rush but a few basics always let the Moose down, the service has become pretty surly, only one server smiled or made any effort to make us feel welcome, after walking in and standing at the door waiting to be seated several staff members passed us but not one greeted us or said they'd be with us in a minute, eventually someone noticed our group of 4 adults and showed us to a table.

Quite a long wait for drinks order to be taken and we made sure to order food at the same time to avoid an even longer wait.

Drinks came out sporadically, ordered 2 large coffees, one with hot milk, and a tea. We received one large coffee with cold milk, a flat white and a tea, all 3 were luke warm.

Food again came out with a wait between dishes, we just ate at slightly different times. We had 3 full english and didn't get any butter. The food was tasty though.

None of these are the end of the world but it's quite expensive and when the basics aren't right we won't be rushing back, starting to run out of good places to go for breakfast in...

The last few visits have been disappointing, this time was no better. We booked in advance, but still initially tried to put our party of 8 on a small table in the corner, I asked to move as we simply didn't fit around it, they then offered us a table of the exact same size? Despite the 8 person table being unoccupied and not reserved. Eventually we got seated on the better table. It was at least 20 minutes before we had our drinks orders taken, a further 20 to receive half the drinks, had to keep reminding the staff about the orange juices (which is now a very cheap carton juice from concentrate). Didn't take our food orders until after the drinks had arrived (kept having to ask staff to come and take our orders). We had been here well over an hour before we finally saw our food. The California egge looked good, but the burgers were dry with the consistency of rubber. Such a shame, used to be a nice place but I don't think any of us will be coming back...

I have been to this restaurant several times and really enjoyed the atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. I was there Monday 10th June with my daughters for lunch and the waitress that took the order was lovely. The food that was delivered by another member of female staff was a different experience. The food was delivered by a grumpy unfriendly woman. My half kilo of hot wings was luke warm, most obviously re heated from either pre cooked or left overs. The blue cheese dip I requested was more mayo than any blue cheese. Very disappointing, as each and every time I have had these from you in the past, have tasted fresh, crispy and yummy. This was at 2pm afternoon but that should not excuse anything. My daughter ordered loaded cheese and jalapeño fries. They were far from loaded, more portion control, rationed. SO very disappointed. Come on guys I have eaten better at yours...
