Unfortunately me and my family didn't have a great experience here. I booked a table online but when we arrived the staff told me that know one had written the booking in the diary. So we waited a while for a table. Once seated we were rushed to order and was told (rudely) that we had to have the buffet and couldn't order from the main menu. The staff weren't very nice and looked miserable, anytime we asked them something they shrugged us off. The food was very disappointing, especially the vegetarian "platter" which turned out to be 3 mini samosa's. Very disappointing birthday meal! I asked to speak with a manager but I was told he wasn’t there, found out later that he was there the whole time. Eventually I spoke with the manager who was lovely and apologised. He confirmed that he took my booking and that we can order from the main menu! He did offer to look after us next time we visit but I don't think we'll be going again.

Had a nice meal at Darjeeling heights. Food was consistently good throughout the meal and staff were attentive, friendly and went out of their way to be welcoming to our son. When the food arrives the owner came and checked everything was OK. We ordered lamb rogan josh, chicken tikka masala and chicken dansak, two rice, a roti, naan and bombay potatoes and two starters. We had 6 poppadoms and 3 beers and the bill was £92. This seems higher than usual compares to other local indians. Would I go again? Yes! I think we would do Sundag lunchtimes for the buffet.

Had the Sunday buffet with 2 friends. Great value and really lovely food. Friendly people. Would totally go back. Excellent food and service, and the toilets are immaculate!

Overpriced!!! I visit Indian restaurants throughout Kent with my family and my friends, probably 4/5 times a month. This place has been open for 2 years and last night was our first visit. I have been to many fantastic Indians in Kent, unfortunately this is not one of them. Service was a disgrace! We were shown to a seat in the reception area as we arrived 15 minutes early. We had to wait 15 minutes to have a drinks order taken, that is after we had to chase the waiter and we were the only customers waiting to be seated. It was like we were forgotten! We were seated 10 minutes late, but that's fine. The problem with this place is that it is modern and the layout is quite open plan, because of this when it is packed out, as it was, and there are a lot of loud groups of customers, the noise is intense and you cannot have a quiet, private conversation. There is no ambiance, it is not a romantic place; Vari 2 miles up the road, is far better in that respect. The food is good, but to be honest we could have had just as good a meal, for a lot less money, somewhere else. The restaurant adds a discretionary 12.5% service charge to the bill. If i was part of a large group I would have no problem paying this, but when there is 2 of you and the bill is £68 (includes 2 beers, glasses of wine, 2 papadoms, 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 sides and 1 rice) and they add £8.50, I feel that is over the top. we asked them to remove the service charge, which they did and we just left £4, which we thought was appropriate. Service during the meal was non existent, we were asked after we had finished how the food was, but not whilst we were eating. In summary, this place is really not worth the money, there are better Indian restaurants in Kent for service, food and ambiance. We will not go back again and will not recommend it to anyone, which is a shame as 8 of us were considering going to visit for our Xmas get together in December, not...

I have visited this place on numerous occasions and I have always been highly impressed. Unfortunately on this occasion my family and I were terribly disappointed. We had a 21:00 booking but did not get to sit at a table until just before 22:00hrs, only because a couple preceding us got fed up of waiting and walked out. We most likely would have had to wait even longer. At arrival when we checked in we had actually received a fairly cold and somewhat patronising reception. Indubitably the food was late to arrive. The starters were delicious, so was the main meal. Unfortunately most of the main meal was only warm when it should have been hot. At the end of the meal we requested a doggy bag, only to find out the following day that not all our leftover food had been dished out. I was not happy to pay the gratuity at the end of the day and only did so reluctantly as it was included on the bill. Admittedly I felt their standards have slipped. This has been our favourite restaurant over the last few years but our last experience was not a pleasant one. We can only hope things pick up...

Awful experience! Came yesterday as a group of 14 at 8pm after being let down last minute by another so called “amazing” Indian restaurant. Was told they could accommodate for us all but clearly they was very wrong! Took half an hour to come and take our drinks order, which the drinks took a long time to come out, most of which were bottles of beer and wine, how long can that take? Then another hour after that for them to even take our food order, after asking several times for someone to come over. We had to ask several times when the food was coming out, they weren’t transparent at all, when the food finally came out just after 10.30 it was luke warm, congealed and tasted nothing like what was ordered, the food was half way through coming out and we paid for the drinks and left! Awful experience, didn’t even do tikka Ceylon or garlic chilli chicken. We came here 6 years ago and the service was appalling then, thought we’d give them a second chance, looks like nothing has changed! We will never be...
