Avoid, they take your money without delivering and will hang up on you if you try to follow up! Incredibly rude! Ordered yesterday 8.25 pm after receiving 20% off message in the afternoon (we're clearly on their system as we've ordered before). Confirmation page said delivery time about 50 minutes! 90 minutes later checked order confirmation email, said 90 minutes delivery time. 2 hours in, we tried to call but landline was always busy. Sent two emails. 3 hours later, still no food - also no email back, no text message, phone line still busy, nobody to reach, horrible customer service and no sense of responsibility. Sent an email requesting cancellation of order and refund, called this evening to check back - the guy on the phone said they hadn't received any email (without knowing at that point who we were), asked us to send an email inquiry (again), gave an email address that didn't work, we tried the inquiry email address from their website, still didn't work, called back again.... same guy again, seemed clueless, we asked him to check for our order number which he said he couldn't do, we asked to speak to the manager, please, to which he replied he's the owner!!! We asked again for him to please check for our order number because we had paid him over 30 pound the night before without any delivery, he said he couldn't... AND HUNG UP ON US!!! We've been ordering from them for two years now! This is just unbelievable! Went to Facebook to leave a review there, as well, and found two other posts from people who'd had the same bad experience the same night we did..... Just horrid! Horrible guy running this place, not trustworthy, not decent, no sense of responsibility towards customers, no loyalty at all for loyal customers. So angry! Never buying from that...
Read moreWe visited Tapas Del Mundo on Saturday 6th January as a party of three recently. I've been to the venue before and enjoyed the ambient dining venue, food and service, so returned with my Mum and my friend. We arrived slightly early, but were warmly welcomed and the staff made space for us straight away, despite it being very busy, so this was a lovely surprise as we had expected to have to kill some time.
There's a brilliant selection of tapas, nibbles, starters and sharers to choose from and an excellent wine list. They also offer spirits, hot drinks, and soft drinks. We chose several tapas dishes and nibbles to share, including, calimari, gambas, bruschetta, halloumi and olives to name a few of our absolute favourites. Whilst these were the highlights for me personally, we all enjoyed every dish. The food was sublime and the seafood cooked to perfection - juicy, succulent and full of traditional flavours that you might expect when visiting a locals restaurant in Spain. The portion sizes are also generous and reasonably priced.
My friend and I shared a couple of bottles of Prosecco and my Mum a red wine, which was a lovely treat and the staff were still just as amicable and helpful when we became a little louder and more giggly. In fact, they even brought us each a cocktail which was very kind of them.
The whole evening was an absolute delight and I can throughly reccommend Tapas Del Mundo. If you are looking for the best tapas in the South West (and I have been to quite a lot) I'd go as far to say as you won't find better food or service than at Tapas Del Mundo. A solid 5 out of 5 stars and I will be recommending the restaurant to all of my friends...
Read moreWe went here because of the good reviews the idea of having lots of food that was gluten free and a variety of flavours. We got there and the owner greeted us when we saw us, he was very polite, very friendly and very helpful. He allowed us time to choose our food. We had 6 dishes between the two of us and some nibbles. Then olives were incredible! Some of the best I've ever had. Most of the food which you can see pictured was delicious. The pork unfortunately was over cooked and dry, which made it disappointing as pork belly can be incredible. The chicken skewers were really tasty, the prawns and the chicken and chorizo dishes were all really well cooked and had some nice flavours. I wouldn't say they had a lot of depth. The chips had mixed reviews from us. The atmosphere in the restaurant was okay, we were away from most people, and when it got busy that's when service got slower. I think they were a staff member down and it was apparent. The waitress who started later was very polite, and friendly and seemed to be a really hard worker. It took a while for us to get the bill and pay for it and by that point the table was needed for a pre-booked party so it felt rushed and so gave a slight sour taste to the ending. All in all, I'd say it's definitely worth visiting at least once, it's unlikely we will go back as we don't often visit the area and it just leave a lasting impact like other restaurants we tried over...
