Been here once before and the food was lovely. Rebooked today for a family birthday. The place was empty on a Sunday afternoon so no problem getting a table. It’s such a shame that after placing our drinks order for Lemonade, we were made to wait half an hour due to the bar staff disappearing to the pub garden with their heineken beers and cigarettes to have a natter. When our food arrived, our table hadn’t even been cleared from our starters. The mains they brought us weren’t ours. They left the food on our table while they cleared the table. After about 10 minutes, they took the food we hadn’t ordered off our table and served to the correct table. Shouldn’t been leaving incorrect orders on our table and still continue to serve them, we could have done anything to that food! It’s not ok going up to the bar to order and seeing all the staff in the garden drinking on duty and smoking in plain sight. This is a lovely dog friendly place but I saw a couple not able to take their dog out into the back garden due to smashed glass everywhere. I get that it was a Saturday night yesterday but come on. Food was better last time we visited, this time they got our order wrong 3 times and the food was swimming in oil. Shame about the staff. I won’t be returning. It really is the service that makes a place but today I was very...
Read moreI have eaten here three times now and the food has always been of a mediocre standard. First time some of my meal was dropped on me by the waitress! And they had run out of the dessert my brother ordered. We were sat at the back and could constantly smelly a damp smell coming from the bathroom. Didn't like the fact the food came out of the same smelly corridor. Second visit they were having a major problem with contactless payments where some staff did not know how to handle this and appeared very stressed out from the situation. My brother and I ordered chips. His chips came out raw and he had to send them back. Both our burgers were luke warm. I ordered a gin and tonic, which was served in a tall and wide tumbler. Therefore I was barely able to taste the gin as it has so much tonic water in! Same musty smell at the back of the room near kitchen/toilet. Tried breakfast here one time with my partner. Breakfast roll with ciabatta bread. Bread was stale and extremely chewy. Have given this place three chances....
Read moreReally disappointed, went in on a quiet thursday to grab some lunch. It was very quite and we were one of two groups of people there. Initially we ordered drinks and couldn’t even get a glass of pineapple juice as they had none (what cocktail bar doesn’t have pineapple juice! On top of this they could have got some from co-op next door) After ordering our food we got told we couldn’t even have mac’n cheese as they didn’t have any. This clearly shows that they don’t make their food fresh as what kitchen doesn’t have cheese, butter, milk and pasta! I had to settle for bruschetta which was a very odd version of bruschetta as it was piled high with cheese and had pesto all over it. I didn’t enjoy the food I had, the lettuce that came with the sandwich look awful as it was all brown and on top of the list of food and drink they didn’t have service was very slow considering the place was pretty much empty. I’ve heard good reviews about this place so I was extremely disappointed by...
