Drunken Fish - Fish and Chips — Restaurant in England

Two stars is generous! Went in after years since previous owners were rude and food took ages. Under new managment not much has changed, over priced and average food. Ordered chicken burger w cheese, chips and a drink for £5.99. All cool. Waited about 10mins and I asked for sauce on my chips and the lovely lady said its 60p because the governor makes the rules! Like who pays for some sauce on their chips. So the guy next to me also asked for ketchup and was bemused when asked to pay extra £2.40 for sauce on four portions of chips 🍟. Anyway got home and no cheese in my burger, chips were strange - half were undercooked and half so hard and over cooked. I don’t think that their oil temperature was right. Burger was ok though. I think i’ll be sticking with Ocean Blue or the local burger...

best fish and chips ever the person who frys the chips is very kind beacuse he always come and sees how my nan is if the shop is not busy...

Old owners were great. Now under new management and have been twice since and both times have been terrible. Had to go back tonight with the albino chips, mentioned in other comments. Definitely something up with the oil. Waited another 15 mins for new chips which were only a tad more cooked but the texture on the outside was the same. Bumpy and nasty. I wish I asked for a refund. Unprofessional, dont seem to know what they are doing, and not even an apology from the manager so my guess is it had been going on all afternoon. Has gone downhill and always looks busier in ocean blue which is next door. Will try...
