Lovely food, very nice setting amongst various craft studios. Def recommend. Edit. Having enjoyed the breakfast so much, we went back few days later for dinner. Dinner food was disappointing, i had a very uneventful and hard aubergine with small traces of cheese, and tomatoes. My partner had lamb on flat bread, also uneventful. I would go back for breakfast or drink but not dinner.

Quite a surprise to find this. As others have said the menus change over time but always interesting. The food is cooked to order and is excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The background music was worth the visit on its own. If you're hunkering down out of the weather there are books, board games, good coffee and it's child friendly.

Popped in for a tea and coffee, nice relaxed kitchen. Drinks were nice, and the menu looked very interesting. We will conne back to eat another day. East Quay has a selection of artists studios. Its lovely to see a paper maker here, as the town had an incredibly long paper making history untill Wansbrough paper mill closed in 2015.

On a cold December Monday my partner and I stumbled upon this little gem of a cafe (restaurant) in Watchet harbour. If you don't know the seaside village you might easily miss the East Quay complex of a handful of shops and a restaurant.

We didn't have high expectations of a café by the seaside but as soon as we sat down there was a noticeable buzz about the place and for a Monday, out of season, it was quite busy (always a good sign). The menu had some really good vegetarian options plus it was interesting without being pretentious. Just a good, solid selection of foods, drinks and snacks.

I had the Muhammara Chickpea Stew and my partner just fancied chips :-) I can honestly say that I have never eaten such a pleasing café meal. The stew was delicious and the chips came in with truffle oil and aioli + parmesan were heavenly. They obvioulsy love their vegetarian / vegan cooking and they clearly buy quality ingredients. I would bet money that the hummus was home made as it was amazing.

All this for a very reasonable price and no price hiking at all. Thank you for making our visit that day as perfect as it could be. I hope to reproduce your recipe at home some time!!! I wonder if you'd share...

Ordered breakfast yesterday morning, waited half an hour and then asked a server if it was on its way as our car parking was running out, he came back and said it was being cooked ( 2x eggs on toast, one with mushrooms and one with bacon) waited another almost 15 mins and then had to go, told the girl not to bother, we had to go, and she just said ‘oh sorry about that’ and carried on delivering her cup of coffee to another customer..£32 spent and all we had in the end were 2 orange juices and a coffee, very dissatisfied and disappointed, when my hubby ordered they should have told him that there’d be a very long wait for food, 45 mins and no breakfast, we were really looking forward to trying there too as not...
