ED’s Eastern Delight — Restaurant in England

Went to this place today as just needed some fries as our usual were shut for Jummah. I ordered 3 boxes of fries, had to wait 10 minutes as they make them fresh. Good so far. Whilst waiting I observed a member of staff packing someone’s food into a bag. I noticed he licked his finger to help open carrier bag. This is a No No! It’s a food place you must have had training and this is spreading germs.when I received my fries I politely pointed this out to the man in charge who served me. I explained this was not acceptable and I will be leaving a review as it’s not good practice and although I shall not return I just don’t want their customer to be exposed to this. The guy explained that we are a small place not McDonald’s! That’s irrelevant you must follow good safety if serving public. He then proceeded to offer me a refund. I said no I don’t want my money back but just want you to review and retrain the staff for the benefit of your customers. He was not very accepting of my advice and explained you can leave your review but it will not affect my trade/ income/ Rozie. 1st time tryingbthis after watching TFT food troll review, unfortunately my review is different probably down to TFT cannot handle spicy food which is most likely why he loved it

I ordered the Shad Chef Ed's Box £12 sat-thur & £10 on Friday It consists of 1 double smashed patty with plain grilled donner Chips with stirfried red donner Curry Dipping Sauce of your choice And a drink

The burger was pretty decent to be fair love the toasted floured bun but imo was lacking spice Rating 7.5/10

Chips with those typical takeaway Chips with peri salt 8.5/10

Stir fried red donner , was bland and needs onions peppers and way more seasoning in that red tandoori sauce they stir fry it with. Definitely not up there with the likes of xotica fusion in manchester or kebab house in rochdale or oldham.

Same with the garlic chilli chicken curry dipping sauce ,way too bland and imo doesn't go well with the food

Drink selection was good approx 15 to choose from however wasn't cold enough

Overall I rate it 7/10, I wouldn't travel for it but if I lived locally then maybe i would get it again but add my own seasoning to it to spice it up.

Worst experince ever orderd food and afta arriving was told it wasnt made Had the cheek to tell me i couldnt hear you over the phone if that was the case why did you not ring me back? I turned up at your shop and clearly stated i came to pick up a peri smash burger meal which i ordered at 7:10 i arrived at your shop at 7:35 which u then said no order has been taken on our side you then said it will take 10 mins to make the burger afta a few mins i again clarified with u i wanted a peri smash burger urgently but u was adamant i said to u i wanted a smash burger on it own which is false then u later said it will take another 10 mins clearly your ears are not workin like u said durin the call u cudnt hear anythin😅 fix up your ear and invest in a proper phone and polish up your customer service skills Dont try to get clever and say it was my network problem which it wasnt it was your telephone and no i didnt speak in a aggresive manner get your facts correct!
