Family visit here after an evening of tenpin bowling, opted for Kebabish as the venue was more suited for a family of 9.

Started off well, waited a few minutes to be seated, we ended upstairs with a good size table. We were greeted by a waiter in a reasonable time and placed an order for few popadoms, chutney trays, 3 x sizzlers, large mixed grill, 3 x seekh kebab starters, few naan breads, Mango and Pepsi jug. Order wasn't particular complicated or large.

This is were everything went wrong, popadoms arrived quickly but were stale and the onion chutney was so bitter, onions had not been rinsed. The rest of the order arrived soon, but our sizzlers were cold and didn't arrive sizzling they were taken away and I think they were just heated up again. When they did arrive the chicken tikka looked a fluorescent pink colour and was saturated in far too much masala. I've had sizzlers at Bukahra, EastzEast and Zouks before and this one rated about 3/10.

We had to ask the waiter three times to bring our drinks and eventually they arrived but during that time the kids were getting upset.

This is my second visit to Kebabish in Blackburn over past 5 years and neither visit has been good. With so many food establishments in Blackburn you would think Kebabish would have higher standards.

Went for a works lunch, we weren't paying as a group but each person was paying for their individual order so waiters didn't bring the bill to the table and we all lined up to pay at the till individually (i.e. each person paying for their individual order so you go to the till, tell the person at cash registrar what your individual order was and he gives you the price and a receipt upon payment), was overcharged and short changed by a couple of quid, only realised when we were back at work and checked prices on menu. Advice to all customers if paying collectively then please cross check prices on menu with prices on your bill if you are given one at table! if you are not given bill and paying for your order individually or at till, then again please remember to cross check price asked at till against price on menu. Sometimes you don't hold on to the prices you see on menu and get charged a little extra at till when paying after you eat, its only when you revisit the menu price will you realise you have been overcharged / short-changed.
