A lovely little restaurant which looks rather unassuming. The interior decor looks like the 60's design. The food were absolutely delicious, no single dish disappointed us. For a non olive eater like myself, I have to give credits to their Sicilian olives. They were well-marinated and their petite-size were perfect! For starters, we had the twice baked Cornish crab & Comte souffle and the oxtail wild mushrooms Parmesan gnocchi with truffle oil. The Cornish crab were to die for! The oxtail was super tender and truffle oil gnocchi well cooked and soft. For mains, we had Halibut & crab and 6oz fillet steak. They were succulent and had great flavours. We couldn't ask for better dishes like these. For dessert, I'd highly recommend the treacle tart. It looked simple but was rich and creamy - a great balance with the clotted cream. The blackcurrant souffle had a bit of a tang but went well with the vanilla anglaise. All of the dishes were not only well-presented, they were all incredibly tasty. The service was super friendly and attentive, especially the waitresses. The dining environment was clean and comfortable, nicely spaced out. Overall, there's nothing that let us down, from the quality of the food to service to the dinning space. I'd definitely come back here next time I visit Cornwall.

We visited Edies while on holiday. We booked it while based on Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Located in a very ordinary looking local shopping arcade it is nothing ordinary at all. Edie's small team make you feel immediately welcome and the restauraunt is simple but nicely decorated in muted tones. There's a reasonable amount of background noise but conversation is private as a result. The menu is compact - 4-5 choices per course and all cooked to order. Simply put the foof was amazing - it was so difficult to make a chouce we had to come back for a 2nd night to sample other things on the menu :o) For the standard of food, wine and service I would say this is a great value place to eat if compared with many so called gastro pubs! Highly recommended - Twice backed cheese souflee was possibly the best starter I have ever had :o)

My partner and I took Nan here and had the most unforgettable meal. Food 11/10. Atmosphere 11/10. Service 11/10. Everything was perfect. We even had the pure pleasure of being seated next to the kitchen and had a front row seat to watch the chefs work their magic. Every dish was incredible. All the flavours were exquisite and there was not a single dish that was lacking in any way. Even though we were completely stuffed after our starters and mains, we still ordered dessert simply because we didn’t want to miss out on anything. This place is truly spectacular, and you’d be a fool not to try and come here. Special thanks to our waitress Tye (sorry if I spelt it wrong), you were an absolute legend and played a huge part in making it the greatest dinner the three of us have shared together. We can’t wait to come back one day in the future

Walked into the restaurant and was greeted very politely and quickly by the staff , we was shown our table asap, the slight down side and I do mean very slight !!! after we got shown our seats we was left for 15 odd mins with no menu or drinks maybe seat people with a menu and offer drinks asap, we would of drank a second bottle of wine for sure, My food of choice was the crab bun starter , steak main, pear desert, The Starter was very nice , the sauce was moreish and the bun was slightly filled with fresh crab , but all in all the starter was very nice except the bun to sauce ratio was slightly out in my opinion, there was more sauce then bun , maybe a side of bread so I could soak up the remaining delicious sauce or the option to buy the side of bread at least !! , The main , (steak) was ordered medium rare , leaning more towards rare and that’s exactly what I got, it truly was an unbelievable main, It was the best dish of the night and was the best steak I’ve eaten EVER !! It was like eating a meaty cloud that melted away in your mouth ,truly unbelievable dish. Loads of thick chips and a tomato that was packed full of flavour too. Water cress and this green butter stuff brought colour to plate and not much else. The desert a warm pear tart slightly too sweet for me and not enough sharpness couldn’t eat a lot of it but I suppose thats what a sweet dessert is meant to be , maybe ice cream or a frozen flavoured sorbet instead of clotted cream would be better to help cut through the sweetness ? The service in the restaurant was top level considering it was fully booked when we was there and everyone looked super busy, we got served fairly quickly in between meals and was asked a couple times if we were happy , The restaurant it self is modern with a faint background track and a nice atmosphere with an open kitchen, it really was a lovely evening with great...

Faultless is the word that came to mind as I sat in Edie's enjoying the whole experience. I was fortunate to be seated facing the kitchen and the servers station so watched the whole team's performance throughout our visit. I use the word performance because the owners have clearly put a lot of thought, care and love into this masterpiece. It was a pleasure to watch how well the team work together and the care and attention the chefs give to each meal as it is prepared. No surprise there was a full house by 7:15pm. Warmly greeted and given a choice of tables. All servers were friendly, professional, attentive and everyone was serving with smiles which is so important. The wine was lovely my friend tells me. We had the mushroom pate starter, John Dory mains and chocolate cake dessert and every dish was scrumptious, very well presented and good portion sizes. The main meal in particular was lovely and hot and tasted amazing. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and light and airy. This was the perfect example of what a dining experience should be. I loved the welcome note added to the front of the menu that really set the tone for the evening. Edie's provides so much more than just a meal. It is a wonderful experience that feeds your soul. I highly recommend Edie's and will definitely be back....
