I scheduled a delivery for 7-7.30lm with the delivery service they use - Ubereats. I had a notification that the delivery was being processed and would be delivered at 6.30. I called Edwards Plaice to say I wouldn't be at home at that time and that's why I asked for delivery between 7 and 7.30. I was told that as a once only favour they would ask Uber to delay the order. Edwards Place then said that the customer service given by Uber is very poor so they will probably be unhappy to actually be asked to deliver the food at the time requested! Whoever i spoke to at Edwards Plaice wasn't very pleasant and although I've been a regular customer of theirs I'm really not happy with their dismissive attitude. Edwards Plaice told me that I didn't order the food from them but from Ubereats and they don't get payment for 30 days. Not my problem. What's the point of scheduled bookings if they are not going to be honoured . If I booked a taxi to collect me from the train station at 7pm why would the taxi arrive to pick me...

Sorry but this was an appalling experience tonight. We’ve ordered regularly from you guys, with no problem before now. But tonight, we paid online for an order that never arrived despite the email confirming that it had. When I called up, Deliveroo was apparently to blame and I had to deal with them (they’re not answering the phone right now, by the way ). So we’ve paid around £12-14 for something that never arrived, and a sub contractor who can’t answer the phone are responsible? Sorry, but you’ve lost our custom as of now. This is such a nice fish and chip shop! It's not the cheapest, but it's great value as the food is delicious and the staff really seem to care about their food.
It's also the only place around for miles that does real proper veggie battered sausages! I think they are Quorn Lincolnshire sausages, but whatever they are, they're amazing!
The staff are friendly and polite, and at least one of them is an amazing singer! The whole place is spotlessly clean, and covid-19 measures are in place and adhered to.
