We came to Fanoos as a family to celebrate a birthday. We came in the daytime when it was quieter (perfect for us) and the restaurant owner was really welcoming. I had the Makhsoos chicken & lamb which came with saffron rice, a fabulous charred green pepper, grilled tomato, salad and whipped yoghurt. It was really tasty and the bonus was that I took what I couldn’t manage to finish and I’ve just had it this evening! The chips are seasoned - so if you’re taking young kids, it might be worth asking for them to hold the seasoning (but they were delicious!). Final food mention has to go to the olives and hummus which we enjoyed as starters, both were super tasty! There are lots of fairy lights strung under the outdoor canopy, so I reckon it’s a pretty little place to eat in the evening. If you’re hearty eaters, you won’t be disappointed! Photos: hummus that came with lovely crispy flatbread and the chicken kebab off the bone that my daughter chose. Forgot to photograph mine as I was too busy tucking in!

Perfect Blend of Casual Charm and Authentic Persian Delight. Fanoos offers the complete package. Fantastic, authentic Persian cuisine that satisfies both newcomers and aficionados, served in a relaxed, family-friendly, and incredibly welcoming atmosphere enhanced by the BYO freedom. Factor in the delightful open-air summer vibe or in the winter the enclosed glass terrace offering a magical cosy escape, friendly service, great food and freedom to drink your own wine and you have a recipe for a consistently excellent dining experience. Sharing a perfectly grilled sea bass or digging into a hearty mixed grill platter with your own wine and good friends? That's a moment, and a meal, truly hard to beat at that price point. Hidden Gem for sure!

This Persian restaurant is our favorite place to eat. We always come here whenever we crave Iranian food. My family loves it here! The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is consistently great. The prices are very reasonable compared to other restaurants of the same kind. I highly recommend this place, and the chef Aref and owner are always welcoming to everyone. Mer C

Best Persian food in the Brighton area by far. Great value for money. They even give you a free bottle of wine.. You can bring your own alcoholic drinks and they supply you with glasses. The fish was amazing.. Cooked on real charcoal to perfection as we're the jucy lamb chops and the kebabs and the rice was so light and fluffy you could blow it off the plate served with an excellent, freshly prepared, crisp salad. Spotlessly clean and great atmosphere especially in the wonderful covered pavement seating area with exotic coloured cloth draped "ceiling" background music and heating should it be a chilly day. I have been back several times as have other people I have recommended. Had to book last visit so phone before you visit to avoid...
